Just to jump in, below is our bathroom remodel, We are doing this on our own, and have been working on it for over a year now. The problem has been only getting to work on it one day a week.
What we started with:

That's good news, Brad. I'm looking forward to seeing photos of the finished master bath.

Hard to get pictures, and the outside wall needs mud and texture. Tomorrow they said. I’ll get the guest bathroom in a few days. We needed to raise the valve, my wives mistake.

The costs will depend on many factors. Once you start, the costs often escalate. I'd say that you should budget for new tiles on all walls and floors. Tiles can be from $20 – $80 per square metre. Realistically, you will be best to start from scratch and retile the whole room.

Random thread revival...and a sore reminder that I still haven't finished my project. It's getting closer though. Drywall is done and painted. Vanities are nearly done. I am halfway through tiling the shower. From there, it's installing the floors and I'm done. Just over a year for a project that should have taken a couple of months :D

Don't have a picture with the last week's progress, but you get the idea.
