Man I hope you can get this figured out. You've got on sweet Cobra!

I've been looking at TF Mach-5 or Chicane 18x10.5 with R888s. I do not want to roll my fenders, so I'm thinking about going with AFS reps instead.

Last two times I've taken the car out it hasn't rubbed. I rolled the passenger side fender nearly flush. I have some afs wheels on order for a second set of wheels. I'll still keep my tf wheels to.

It's got to be torque twist. I think air bag or bags is the answer. I definitely wouldn't shelf a 3k set of wheels over it.

Yeah that's what I think to. I'll definitely still rock the TF wheels, but plan on running a Mt drag radial on the afs wheels. I don't feel like putting them on my tf wheels and trusting a tire shop to change tires every couple years.

I was running more power / tq through my VMP than Bdubbs.

I never had any issues and I was running H&R with no iso's Same wheels and tires rolled fenders.

The alignment or something in that IRS is not set correctly.

I did rub slightly when I hit a deep bump right where the plastic meets the metal like folks have already stated

I've since rolled the fender more and it's been fine so far.

My rolled fenders were fine for a few years. I pulled the wheels off to wash them and winterize the car about 2 months ago and noticed black rub marks on both rear fenders. Tires look ok. I drove through a dip in the road a few weeks before washing the wheels and I am thinking this is what caused the tires to bounce up into the fenders. My Cobra still has the stock shocks after 15 years coupled with HR racing springs. Car has about 25,000 miles on it. I have Toyo R888 305s in the back and 20mm spacers. Tires are about flush with the fenders - maybe a tiny bit past it.

What is the best way to get the black marks off the fender edges? I was thinking alcohol. I'll take it to a body shop to get it cleaned up if necessary and definitely want to fix this so it does not happen again. My fenders are not rolled too aggressively.

You may have to roll them more. My tire only rubbed on rear passenger side. It's almost flush. It also helps if I keep tire pressure under 30. Generally, I like mine at 28 psi.

Thanks for the tip bud! I'll check it out this year - have not driven the car much and I'll keep an eye on the tire pressure. BTW I have the same flat stoppers as you and last year drove on to them instead of jacking the car up. I then drove off them a few weeks ago. Looks like that damaged them a bit. I'll take some photos when I get a chance and make another thread.
