From AmericanTrucks:

F-150 Street Build - 2017 F150 EcoBoost Gets Tuned and an ICON Lift Kit - The Haul

The F150 Ecoboost is one of the most popular trucks our customers purchase parts for
on AmericanTrucks (AT) and rightfully so—if you’ve ever seen our parking lot, you’d
see that even the employees at AmericanTrucks love their Ecoboost F150s!

On this episode of “The Haul”, Justin Dugan gets his hands on fellow AT employee,
Dave’s, 3.5L Ecoboost equipped 2017 F150 Lariat SuperCrew for a street-style build.
Since Dave is a family man, like many of our customers, his build was spec’d to
improve the quality of his commute while improving some of the amenities,
performance, clearance, and styling.

Really sharp. Those shocks are overkill unless you are really using it off road, then I’d question why not just get the Raptor. Hood is a waste, but the stance, rims, tires, and exhaust tip look really good. I’d love to have the money to dump like that.

Im torn on doing a lift. Ive lifted the last two trucks i had and both rode like crap afterwards. He said those icon shocks rode smooth. I would need to see it for myself before i do it again.

Did you lift by using a shock package or did you just get the typical 2 inch plate? I’m looking at going with the Billstiens.

Watched the video don’t love the hood the rest seems nice. I’m thinking of getting a truck so I have been watching a bunch of these videos. I still trying to figure out what type of upgrade will firm the ride up on the street, give me some lift and help off road. It’s not hard to figure out the last two things a bit harder to understand the first.

My truck rides nice with the Fabtech 6" lift, and the coilover reservoirs on 22s.

Would recommend.

Hood is a bit much....

The first time was spacers, and the sexond was 1000 dollar fox shocks. Both cases were stiff and ride quality went to poop. Thats why im curious

My FX4 was leveled with 2" spacers up front and stock shocks/struts, truck rode like crap. I just replaced all 4 with Bilstein 5100s and it is much improved. I still have the spacers up front but will be removing them and adjusting the struts to keep the same height soon.

Personally i'd do the performance upgrades and maybe some bigger tires. The rest is just so you can be #1 brodozer when you have beers with the boys.
