Fuel economy while tracking

what kind of mileage are you guys getting while running the car hard? I topped off the car yesterday and went on a trip that couldn't possibly be more than 75 or 80 miles and got home with half a tank. Nothing seems wrong with the car and I can't believe it would be running that rich. I drove the car pretty hard, but man, I've driven that hard for much longer and don't remember the mileage being that bad.

On the track I can run 3 20 minute sessions on a tank, the fourth I must come in early.
I think that's around 9, it drinks.

Yup, that's right in line with what it was drinking between 9 and 10. I've been contemplating swapping to the E85 tune, but man, I can't imagine what kind of mileage/range I'd get from that. Probably between 7-8 while driving hard. That's about 120-130 miles per tank. Yikes.

Boss 302 or GT350 average 8 mpg or so on track and it's pretty consistent.

Based on my math it's 5.7-5.9.

Maybe I'm off.

Fiesta ST gets 11.9mpg on track lol.

That's bonkers. Okay, now I don't feel like something's out of whack.

Yeah, I never look at mileage when at the track. It makes my wallet hurt.
