I need a clear answer on this. My buddy just picked up a 2013 shelby and I'm looking to get him some rear wheels for the street. He has the 20inch stock wheel in the back, what is the smallest size rim he can fit on the rear without a spacer or changing the rotors?

Thank you. I appreciate the quick response. 17x10.5 it is lol. Would a 10.5 be too wide or would that fit on good without spacers ?

The answer to your questions will depend on the backspacing and offset of your wheels.

These are direct fit
Weld 17x10.5 S71 Rear Wheel Polished (2013+ Shelby GT500) 71LP7105A75A

So are these
Race Star Drag Wheel 17" x 10.5" - Dark Star Finish (2005-2014 Mustangs Including GT500's & 2015+ GT w/Performance & Standard Brake Package)

That 17x10.5 will need a sway bar relocation bracket. Also if he already has lower control arm relocated brackets the sway bar relocation bracket doesn't work properly IIRC.

Easiest direct bolt on and cost effective is the Racestar 18x10.5, just bolt on and go.
You might want to run the 17x10.5 or 17x9.5" Racestar version but I had just "slight" rub on the sway bar bracket only on one side and only after a drag event.
The 18" is the easiest no issue fit, and many options for drag tires--on the 18x10.5 you can run 315/40/18 Nitto NT05R, 325/40/18 M&H, 305/40/18 MT.
What is the budget and goals?
