I just sent another email to the seller.

Hopefully he gets back to me.

Like I said I actually have a perfect reproduction binder thanks to a member here, I’m just missing the metal plaque with my car number.

Why the heck wouldn't he sell it to you? You own the car. The dik should just give it to you seeing as you bought the car from him.

I see this going down 2 ways. 1 he is a reasonable person and does the right thing by selling it to davesvt2000 for a fair and reasonable price. 2 he got spooked by a flood of emails and trys to get some crazy amount for it.

i was really looking forward to this auction as i have never seen a complete binder on ebay and i wanna see what it would really sell for.

That’s just it, I didn’t, I won the car in a raffle in 2001. The non profit organization I bought my ticket from bought it from a private individual, so legally I’m the third owner.

I reached out to the seller thru eBay, sent him a detailed email with all the info - dates, places, and names of parties involved, info no one else would know. I also had a member here who is well connected in the Dearborn area try to find out who the seller is.

Then all of a sudden the auction ends. I’m hoping as others here said he had a change of heart and will reach out to me and sell me the binder for a reasonable price.

Hopefully he contacts you. That would be the nice thing for him to do.
But if he doesn't reply with anything at all, it's a shady deal. It's really odd that he would cancel the only bid and pull the auction, if he wasn't going to contact you.
