I remember growing up dreaming about these cars...
Don't get me wrong, I love my black 93 Cobra like there's no tomorrow.

But a real "R"... ya, thats the one.
Since my buddy is storing/selling his up at The Fuel House
Not only did I get to snag some iPhone pics of it....

I can now technically say I have driven a real "R"....
FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY!

Sounds weird, but when you been waiting since 1993 to do that,
It feels good to check it off the old bucket list. :)

Hope you all can appreciate this as much as I do. :)

That a really good looking 'R'. That's great that you actually got to drive it.

Guess I'll say it and see if anyone else agrees or I get hanged lol...

I dislike Cobra R cars. Particularly the '93. They just never appealed to me from a cosmetic, performance or value perspective.

Gotta remember I was born in 1992. By the time I knew anything about a Cobra R of any kind, it was like 2006. By then the game was changing and a Cobra R was irrelevant aside from being collectible. Then, much like now, unless you own one you never see one. I get that they're rare, but I just don't care for them.

I agree, with the exception of the 2000 Cobra R. That car was and still is bad ass. The tech that went into that car was awesome and the intake manifold on that things is gold.

yeah the 2000 R is still relevant today. DOHC tech, 6-speed manual, beefed up IRS, trapping 111 mph in the 1/4... that'll still play.

I'm also a big fan of the 95 R. Sure, it's tech hasn't aged as gracefully as the 2000 R; but it was a BIG deal to have a factory 351 back then. Since you were born in 1992, you don't remember the styling effect the 95 R had. As you've grown you've seen Cobra R hoods and Cobra R wheels on 90% of the SN95's you've ever seen... but when this dropped in 1995, that appearance package was jaw dropping.
