to sell for a terminator or not.

I would never sell that coupe for a teminator personally. Just based on the fact that its an emerald coupe, and looks spotless, you'll be hard pressed to find another one, let alone one that is that clean. If you can swing it Id maybe just add the terminator, maybe a higher mileage one? That way you can enjoy both!

Kind of like me thinking about getting into a gt500 or yote car. The thought of starting over on a new car makes me cringe haha.

Ya it’s super clean no rust

Really miss my hci 89 lx hatch. I feel the same way about fox bodies as I do the 03/04's. They aren't the latest and greatest, but they have as much potential as anything else out there. Terminator is newer, has more power and durability out of the box. The fox is much lighter and can get it done with less power. Terminator swap the notch? Factory 302 block is ready to let go at 500 rwhp.

I have considered termi or coyote swapping the car. I just spent gross amount of money in this setup last season.

It’s always a tough choice

I wouldn’t sell the Fox. Thing will only go up in value if you keep it nice imo....getting harder and harder to find nice foxes, as no one sells nice stuff....

Keep what ya got. You know the history, it’s quirks, etc.

Very true. If it’s a hard choice I may keep it and try and get both

You're DQ'd from buying a Terminator. You go out and buy yourself a "termi", whatever that is!!!
Yeah I forgot that term is a hated one. I typed it earlier and auto correct suggested it for me

And yeah I’ll prbably keep the fox and try and swing a cobra also

I have both a 93 notch & 04 Cobra, I love the fox bodies as my first Mustang, was a 89 lx hatch, that I bought brand new for $11,000 out the door lol. My current notch has 70,000 original miles, I bought it about 10yrs ago with 44,000 miles. It is basically all stock except for a K&N air filter. I would love to modify it and it kills me not to but I know at this point it would kill the value. With that being said, if I had to choose 1 I would choose the Cobra. The Cobra is just so much more fun to drive compared to my stock notch. Actually the notch in it's current form is very boring to drive. The looks now that's another story I love the look of the notch. Would I sell either NO not right now anyway. Your situation is a little different with the mods you have done. I would definitely say keep it and try to get both. That Fox is super clean GL.
Here's a couple of pics of mine.

You hit the nail on the head. I mean part of me wants to pull the 306, pull the blower and the tko out and find a stock 302 and t5 and put back in the car. Recoup some cash and use it towards a cobra and have both. It’s a lot of work. Or just keep the low compression 306 in it and run a t5 and no blower. It will probably be a dog without the blower but honestly I wouldn’t mind having the notch even if it was slow and have the cobra as the faster car.

I agree, do whatever you need to so you can afford both. I would not get rid of that notch, it's to damn clean. You'll have a hard time finding another one like it.

Thank you very much.

And yeah I am surprised not one person said to sell it. I may as well try for both. I just picked up a set of weld rts for the car too so maybe that will make me love it again

Hopefully at some point and time you'll be able to have both and when you do you definitely will not be disappointed. Those welds are going to look sharp, they'll change the whole appearance. Post up some pics when you get them on.

No way could you ever get rid of a clean Fox body like that! I had a hard time letting my 1988 GT to that was just a roller. I still can't let my D.S.S. built 306 go that I pulled out of it.

I sold it after I got my Cobra. No way I would have if it was add clean as yours.

I searched for months and found a really clean Teal '93 Cobra. It was a 2-owner 65k mile car, the second owner being an engineer who had all the original paperwork from the older couple who bought it and used it as an MCA show vehicle. It had some great driver mods ('03 Cobra brakes, mild suspension, '01 Cobra wheels, mild h/c/I) and was kept in original condition interior and exterior.
I absolutely loved driving it and the looks.
Still, it was SLOW despite decent mods.
I have currently pulled the engine/trans/EFI for a Coyote/6-speed/IRS swap.
Basically a Fox Cobra with Terminator power.
My point in this is that the Foxbody and SN95 Terminator are very close in DNA.
You will be VERY hard pressed to find a Fox coupe like yours (killer BTW, I love it), and I think you should save money and look for a special S197 car.
That said, if you can only have one Mustang, I'd say sell the coupe and go Terminator---it is definitely the pinnacle of '79-04 performance and holds that special SVT Cobra heritage.
Great coupe and good luck, tough choice!

I have then bolted on the car now while it’s up on stands. I’ll post some pics
