whatcha playing? Rig looks cool, but I'm just hung up on building my own.

First time with this. Fingers crossed! :D

Gonna start playing Forza. I bought the wheel, peddles and the shifter. I'm thinking about getting the whole seat play wheel set up. I also want to start updating my company's website and our inhouse computer program so this thing has the ability to do everything. It's a big investment.

Thanks to @Zemedici I've got two ultra wides that "should" be here this week. But I doubt it given thats it a holiday week.

My buddy should be getting my computer on Tuesday... he's basically going to build it so I can run and stream any retro game

Im hoping the Oculus goes on sale again like it did last year.
I have one and they are not only a pain in the ass to setup the uses are pretty limited and everything for it software wise is pretty overpriced still while the market is trying to drive up its potential use. I will say Star Trek Bridge Crew is def a must, its fun as shit being able to either be captain or literally fly the ship manually.

I bought one last year around this time and returned it because it was an impulse buy. Ive just been wanting another one but dont really need it. You know that goes lol.

Ahh, ya that wouldn't really work for me unless I wanted to find a cheap amd card so I could run freesync. There is rumor that you might be able to use the on board graphics from the newest Intel 9900k which is AMD to run freesync, but I only have an 8700k so either way its a no go.

I actually don't run Free Sync and only Gsync on my side monitors I have SLI 1080ti's FTW WaterForces, 8700k delid, Maximus XI ROG Hero mobo ect in my new build but I am using 2 other monitors with Gsync that are 32's. The Alien I returned was a good monitor but for some reason it just didn't stand up to par. Then again I ended up with a bias opinion from knowing Linus irl and I went up to his shop around the same time he was testing the BenQ and he was even nutting over it off camera, its just a badass monitor.. but expensive. The Sync monitors are nice but when it comes down to it if your rig needs it for optimization it works great, go overbuild and throw a no limit dollar amount you can push for super high FPS and high Hz range and not even tell the difference which is the route I took. Both my 1080's were around $1500~ alone, each.

I have a 2080ti on water, 8700k delidded also on water, and even with those 2 I have a feeling 3440x1440 will require me to move some sliders down on certain games to achieve over 100fps, let alone 120. That is where having gsync is a must for me, being able to match the frame rate with hz is huge, especially when you drop below 100fps and your monitor is still pushing 120hz, I can definatley notice a huge difference, ive accidently forgotten to turn gsync on windowed mode a few times after driver updates, and it drove me nuts, I knew right away when I got into a game.

I have quite a bit of an update, my entire left side /shoulder /left back are pretty much totally atrophied but I still manage to get around and I've gotten a few PM's asking if stuffs changed.. and a lot.. like I've been testing GPU's and MOBO's out the ass lately and did a 12 hour session and can barely move now. But I did take some pics along the way. Other good news is I've been fighting work comp for 4 years now and next month it ends, finally going in front of a judge. It sucks that it happened over the blue line, DoD/Military peeps will know what that means, but basically I got hurt working on base and don't really want to get into it but I lost my gf sold my house and moved into a giant 5th wheel, small place is kinda meh but bills are basically nothing so I'm glad I can still do a few things here, every day I become more of an introvert and I'm stuck on nearly 200 Vicodin a month for almost 4 years and I'm super tired of it and can't even be caught doing something because of the risk of losing. But here are some pics from today, the wheel stand and all that sits under my glass desk so all I have to do is turn left and boom right at the wheel and turn back and then back at the main screen, the middle screen is actually connected to my old PC as a secondary stream/record unit. Def way to tired and burned out today I'll deal with the snake cords tomorrow and clean it all up.

Stuff I tested today, I already have an SLI set of 1080ti's but these 2 belong to the ROG owner and other is to an Aorus which I ordered for them because of the results I got on mine so I just ordered 2 more of mine, over $1500 a piece. They are different MOBO's ones a Gaming 5 and the other 2 are actually gaming 7's ended up getting very good clock speeds out of them from low voltage, both were sent to me with 8700k's I'm at just under 5.5ghz myself. It will never overheat... like ever lulz, so many fans and radiators. I used a smoke machine on it earlier outside and it literally looked like someone with a powerstroke rolling coal out the back and top the air flow is amazing in this case and well with all the fans.

Wheel under the desk and such, the THA8 is a fking beast in seq setup, I know people like running the H patterns down but I love seq's anyways.

Better view.
Just some of my rig, looks very simple but its a very expensive built, around 7k.

Just out of curiosity I weighed it before I moved it back to its spot, was kinda shocked and its actually about 5 lbs heavier as I was trying to balance it on the scale slightly lifting up.

It's actually very comfortable and I've been working with T10 <Turn 10> Microsoft on the Forza series for over a decade, actually pretty close to one of their lead physics dev's which is now in upper management. Only reason I'm mentioning this
is because the pic in the background some have asked me about it because it was a very famous vehicle from Forza 1 to 4 Drifting, I still hold multiple world records on 3 and 4.. I have a body and am actually going to be building it for real, have a 5.4 short block almost ready and the body is at a friends place but i't wont even be remotely close to finished for probably another 5 years. That will be a build thread in it self but will be building it to exactly how it looks Now that I think about it I posted really really really old pics of it here on the Forza thread. I have some other treats coming into play as well, my step GP owns a machine shop.. and... a.... dyno that I worked at pre DoD and has build many race cars which I wanna get pics of but it hasn't been used in years.. but I do have some goodie shots of stuff I did just a couple years ago if I can find em.

This is the reason for the padding if anyone is curious.
I can't ride anymore, probably never again and this sits out side my door, really sad and a big reason I stay inside most days, also afraid of crowds just one bump to my left side and ER here I come, instantly 11 on the pain scale.

Caught this mother ****er out side with a big lens camera taking pics of me for about 30 mins, I have to walk with a cane now and back/shoulder bracers. They are real, if you have something like this going on be really careful.

Couldn't find shop pics I think they are in the other PC somewhere but I can go take some new ones, maybe tomorrow. Long post and sort of off subject sorry.
Also China Lake if anyone was wondering what base.
Forgot, it's a
Aorus Gaming 7
64GB DDR4 G.SKILL
3 1TB SSD's back rigged 4, 2TB SSD's mounted under the chassis
8700k, 5.5ghz
SLI Aorus GeForce 1080ti Water Forces
falling asleep at this point..
2 Viotek 32inch Gsync monitors
Benq 35Xr <_--- beast monitor
lots of other stuff but my corner is probably about 12k ish for everything in the corner, monitors, table, wheel, shifter ect.
16 fans, lights turned off so it doesn't look all gay RBG as I posted above with them on. I live in the desert give me a break.
Corsair CPU rad 6 mounted fans 4 in front and 3 on the back.
1TB M.2's
1 M.2 500GB for Windows and such.
Didn't go for looks either, its pained glass, thick all the way around which dims them a ton performance<looks.
G27 wheel, custom wheel adapter with carbon fiber full size wheel
The TH8A in Seq
USB hand brake
Oculus
so much more, my corner is amazing <> and I'm still using 15 year old dell speakers, woofer... to be honest they ****ing kick ass.
There is still more coming.
List might be updated soon just for shits, I've had the tendency to pull it apart probably 8 times already playing with different configs and such.
