Not worth switching. Keep what you have.

Not sure what your mods are but things that can make the car really wake up are .

1. Exhaust, catless mid pipe with your choice of catback.

2. Intake which you already have.

3. Gears 410s-430s ford racing gears

4. A good tune to maximize your parts

5. Long tube headers if you dont have to deal with emissions issues.

thanks getting all that but the long tubes ($2000 installed) not worth it IMHO for the gain received.

Alone the gains arent that great but with all else above and a tune there is some good gain to have. But yes the price plus install is a costly option. Which is why i stated it last.

Cold air intake gains you a whole lot of nothing

Agreed. I went with a stock airbox when I did my 4V swap. Cheap, is a true fender draw cold air, works as well or better than any aftermarket setup.

I wouldn’t go less than a 4.10

Agreed x3. 3.73s are a tweener gear for a street car. Just get 4.10s and call it good, you turn like 150 or 200 rpm higher on the highway. Oh no.

4:10’s are perfect for a centri blower. Nothing less

I thought 4.10s were great when NA but wish I had gone with 3.73's now that I have a centri. Lots of punch but wish I didn't have to shift quite so quickly and a couple hundred rpm less on the highway would be nice.

Good thing you never got a 03/04 cobra then. Might be too much car.

I went with 3:73s and it is a waste, I would go with the 4;10 if you are more performance/race minded and not street-abiltiy. My 3;73s put me in no mans land with RPM and speed, on the street no matter what gear the 3;73 just wasnt right. If you want some street-ability I would go no more than 3:55. For me Im going back to the stock 3:27s.
I went with the JTL new generation cai and it did make a small but noticeable difference over the stock with a K&N. The JTL new generation is a true cold air.

K&N drop in in the stock airbox... everything else intake-wise is a waste of money.

That's a waste of money too. You're not going to gain shit from a K&N over a clean paper filter and the paper filter does a better job actually filtering plus no issue with fouling any sensors with oil.

Having to either lug the car or run at a higher RPM than you want with 3.73s sucks. And yeah tbth the stock 3.27s are a great cruising gear. I'm not trying to race anyone out here where I am (there is 0 competition for me in Spain anyway except for like the 2 or 3 other American sports cars stationed here) and speed limits on the highways here are merely suggestions. Speed limit is around 70-75mph (120kph) anyway and I routinely do 90-100 keeping up with traffic in the left lane.
