I'm not a fan of Eibach personally. I like H&R's. I haven't heard of many people running different sway bars on these cars. The stock bars seem pretty good.

I’ve got the Eibach Pro-Kit springs with Koni single-adjust yellows on my 01 vert.
Handles great but rides hard even on full-soft.
If the ride won’t bother you, it’s a great setup.

H&R race springs with koni SA sport or bilstein B8 sport strut/shocks and Eibach REAR sway bar (only) is a great combo.

Are Koni or Bilstiens worth the $$$ over monroes etc.... ?
Yes.
Get Tokico HP or Koni Strt. I ran Bilstein on my street car and it was a waste and ride was harsh.
You must've had some stiff springs or bad valving. I'm currently running Bilsteins on two vehicles and have run them in the past. Never had a harsh ride because of them. It usually improved over stock.

IMO Koni Str.t's aren't that great. We had them on our 06 and it felt like they were wearing out within a few thousand miles.

They were the HD version. Might of been the Steeda Sport springs. It was pretty stiff over potholes and uneven pavement (roads are bad in my area). On my Mach I have Steeda Sports also with stock shocks and struts though. Ride isn't nearly as bad.

Are the Steedas the rebadged Eibachs? I know someone uses them, but I can't remember who. I had Eibachs for a short bit on my 98 GT. And our 06 GT and my sons 98 GT have/had Eibachs. I thought my Cobra rode better with the H&R's then the 06. And new springs are on my son's wishlist. He's 17 and supposed to not mind a rough ride.

I recommend getting the eibach pro kit used for the 03/04 cobras. They give a lower stance and a better ride than the eibach for 99/01 cobras. Also koni would be a good option. Even the 03/04 bilstein shocks are a good option.

It would be worth double checking the spring rates. The 03/04 has an extra 100+lbs over the nose that would give more of a drop if the rates are the same. If the springs for the 03/04 are stiffer than the 99/01 cars won't drop as far.

Used them on a prior 01 cobra and a 2003 mach 1 with irs swap. They work great. Both cars used bilstein. Ive had both eibach pro kit springs side by side along with testing both. The 03/04 cobra eibach springs where shorter physically.

Pull your IRS and give it the Full Tilt Boogie treatment if you haven't already. I'd do that (I did) before doing any sort of other suspension work. Especially as old as these things are now.

Cool. I didn't know that. I've seen guys run 03/04 springs and then wonder why they front end of their 01 was sitting so high

Hr race springs with 03/04 bilstiens and 03/04 sway bars similar to 2000 r set up. I have this in my 03 and it's a good balance of street and auto cross

Normally I have never been a fan of cut down springs but because I couldnt get my ride height just right here is what I ended up with. H&R sports in the front and and cut down stock springs in the back. Cut 1 coil off from the bottom with a cut off saw only not a torch. This combo gave for me the perfect ride height. Eibach rear sway bar only. Eibach are the only ones who makes an aftermarket rear bar for the I.R.S. (dont know if the rear R bar is stiffer or better?) You will need shorter sway bar links when lower car. I went with Tokico adjustable shocks and they give a nice ride when set on the lower settings. Switching to all poly bushings or the Full Tilt Boogie will harshen the ride and bring in more road noise. If I had to do over I would only go with the differential poly bushings. I still have my oem rubber spring isolators which helps with the harshness. My car handles great with the above set up and the ride feels better than stock.

If you want the handling to improve (assuming the boring straight-line stuff isn't your thing), and you read up on the how's and why's, you'll do fine adding a larger rear sway bar along with a smaller one up front. Exactly what I did: the big Eibach bar out back and the smaller '00R bar up front. Amazing difference now, albeit with all the other gear.

Terminator related, but plenty of good reading----> Suspension

One thing I have had doubts about is the Eibach rear bar, while it might be slightly larger in diameter than the oem or R, Im not so sure if it really adds any more stiffness as Im pretty sure its a hollow bar. Also you cant use the second stiffer adjustment hole because the link will rub on the axle.

Same. Gets the job done and the ride is enjoyable for long rides.
