So... Do the rest of us need to create an " I'm not gay thread " to bring on attention? Jeez.
Carry on.

...and this is a civilized and normal debate. This is how a debate should take place.

...and at the end of it all, there are no hurt feelings, crying, or whining. Mutual respect all around.

This wasn't a debate. The debate on this topic took place well over a decade ago.

But props to everyone for the civility this time around!

I’m saying you’re using the actions of a minority of the population to condemn the entire population. Not all homosexuals are flamboyant as hell.

And because some people have mental break downs and don’t understand their sexuality doesn’t mean all gay people just ‘switch’ back and forth at will.

I literally didn't say anything you said I did in your post:
I'm not condemning anyone. I'm still friends with the guy I told you about, for hell's sake. In fact, I'm seeing him in 2 weeks.
I didn't say they're all flamboyant as hell. So what if they were? How is that even relevant? Being flamboyant isn't the same as craving attention.
I didn't say they ALL switch back and forth at will. I provided a single example as an answer your question, without ever extrapolating to gays as a whole.

The question was whether or not it was a choice. You asked why anybody would choose it. I gave you an answer. You clearly think I'm wrong, yet aren't able to tell me why without putting words in my mouth to bolster your position. You're better than that. We can agree to disagree, but don't do that.

I'm curious, though, about whom you give a pass to with regards to sexual behavior? If gays just don't understand their sexuality, what about pedophiles? Necrophiliacs?

Anyhow.....back to bewbs.

You asked why. I provided an answer. The point under discussion doesn't require it to be even.

[bcolor=transparent]
OK, why is it not legitimate? Are you telling me attention whores don't exist? This particular point is pretty black and white. All I have to do is find one example of a person that simply chose the life.[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent][/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]Having said that, explain this: In my younger days, there was a fellow I knew well enough to be in his wedding. He was married, had several kids, etc.. One day, he declared he was gay, and started ****ing guys. 12 months later, he switched back. To my knowledge, he's been hetero ever since. What do you call that? Let's not get into semantics, here. He either made a choice, or he didn't.[/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent][/bcolor]
[bcolor=transparent]EDIT: To be clear, I have no issues with gays beyond the way they expect to be celebrated for it. I'm just discussing the point of whether or not it's a choice.

Re read your own posts.

And then read mine.

You're using the actions of a MINORITY to paint your picture of the MAJORITY. The MAJORITY of homosexuals lead normal lives, they just have relationships with the same sex. The MAJORITY of homosexuals don't just 'decide' their sexuality depending on what shoes they put on that day.

Does that make sense?

I'm not putting words in your mouth, its literally what you said. 'Well one guy does it so there's your answer'. That's not how that works.

And about your sexual behavior, the pedophiles and necrophiliacs would be considered deviants. The same argument could be made for homosexuals, depending on what side of the coin you're on.

I for one do not think they are in the same category.

de·vi·ant
/ˈdēvēənt/
adjective
adjective: deviant

    • 1.
departing from usual or accepted standards, especially in social or sexual behavior.
      "deviant behavior"
synonyms: aberrant, abnormal, atypical, anomalous, irregular, nonstandard; More

I actually gained respect for a few people that I otherwise questioned. I'm not going to name those people. There is no reason for that.

I will say that I always respect the views of @Smooth @BrunotheBoxer @Bullshitisay @HudsonFalcon @Recon @TK1299 @IronSnake @Zemedici @CV355 @13COBRA @HISSMAN @CobraBob @GodStang @Screw-Rice @lexustech48 @Jeff81 @OEKTB @ssssnake @lOOKnGO @tones_RS3 @03Sssnake @STAMPEDE3 @SID297 @03cobra#694 @HillbillyHotRod @gimmie11s @PaxtonShelby and many, many more that I didn't list (I think I made my point). I look forward to the diversity of perspectives when controversial topics come up.

Everyone does not agree with me, and I don't always agree with everyone else. However, we all get along at the end of the day.

I switched doctors prior to my first prostate exam...true story.

New doctor's fingers are half the size of the old one's.

And I get a glass of wine and the lights dimmed first.

That reminds me of an experience I had at my physical a couple years ago. I'm a member of a large medical group care. So I'm sitting in my gown waiting for some random doctor to come in, and this young attractive doctor peeks here head in and says " are you ready? Would you mind if an intern accompanys the exam?" I say not at all! Well this gorgeous young blonde walks in with her. I couldn't help but have have a grin on my face. I had to break the ice and asked. Where are we going to start? If I was 20 years younger that gown would have looked like a pup tent. I didn't mind the practice she she experienced. I had to caugh a couple different times, and they skipped the probe part. The was the closest Penthouse forms experience I've had. Not Really! Sorry I couldn't add anything to the gay talk. I Don't know any homosexuals, lm sure my coarseness is quickly recognized.

If gays not procreating is abnormal..

what are people like @Zemedici ? He doesn't want to procreate.

It seems the main point people make is " they dont procreate"

It's not that they don't, it's that they can't.

One of my wife's best friends is as gay as the day is long. Big time republican, voted for Trump, and doesn't like the overly flamboyant look at me gay shit that goes on. Has a sweet C7 Vette too.

Ah, good ol' Dr Longfinger.

I had a tick on my dick at Ft. Bragg and chills/fever the next day, so I went on sick call. The PA who saw me was a very cute young woman, who, after examining the bite looked up at me (nice POV until...) and asked, "So what happened to the tick, did it starve to death?"

LMFAO
I don't go to the doctor's for this reason. Haven't been in at least 3 years. I'm set with that finger exam. Or, I'll just decline it. I'm all set with that. Stick his finger up my ass to tell me nothing's wrong? I know nothing's wrong, I've got a good flow when I pee.
Hard pass. lol

My landlord does my prostrate exams. Knocks a couple bucks off the rent for me.
LMFAO
WIN-WIN!!! :D

You love who you love.

I find the argument of it being "unnatural" ironic. Attraction is not carte blanche. If we are going to call a mans attraction to a woman as the "natural" way of things, then the "natural" way of things would imply it's carte blanche. But it's not. Heterosexual straight laced males do not find every single woman as attractive as the next.

Just because a 6'7 280lb woman has lady parts does not make me attracted to her. In the case of a gay male, a female has nothing that is attractive to him sexually.

I once had a really nice girl from a good family (with lots of dough) try and date me. She was crushing hard, and I knew she was a good one. So I tried it out. No matter what I did, she just didn't do it for me. Is my lack of attraction to that girl unnatural? Or is it okay to like what you like regardless of sex, race, height, age, or weight?
