Just got an Xbox One X + Red Dead Redemption 2

went to gamestop and got a $250 trade credit on a xb1s that I paid <$200 for, and an additional $100 off of the xb1x for buying Red Dead Redemption 2 with it. $216 out of the door. Also, the guy forgot to put the game in the bag, so when I went back they game me a game with some code for a horse...

not too bad

Thats a hell of a deal.

I've been watching streamers play Red Dead on PS Live to see how good it is and it looks beyond great but I didnt get attached to the first Red Dead or GTA5 either so Im afraid I will play this one for a few hours and then never touch it again. I used to love these open world games but now I dont have the patience to play them as much. Im more into open world games like The Witcher 3 and God of War 4, whatever those are called.

I've been watching gamers on Youtube for a couple of months now. RDR2 is one of them. (I had the first one for Playstation years and years ago.)
Wow, that game looks so disgustingly good. Killer graphics and game play. I haven't played video games in at least 15 years now. I might get Farcry 5 and then maybe the RDR2 for PC play. We'll see. Winter is coming and it gets boring as all hell. That would kill some time at least.

Been building an oil and gas empire.

Finally remembered my password here again. Don't own a FoMoCo product anymore (and haven't owned an SVT since 2006?) and don't really fit in the culture here anymore. I still pull a mega narcissistic move and search my own name for mentions every once in a whlie.

Just did the same myself to go along with a new 4K TV. Amazing deal. Looking forward to playing it tonight.

Far Cry 5 was a lot of fun. I just platinum'ed Spider Man. It was excellent!

What's this talk about a credit for trade in. Don't really care for RDR but I like only paying 216 for a Xbox X

Saw that deal at game stop but ultimately didn't do it. The game still looks great on regular x box one. Game is fun so far but pretty overwhelming with the amount of stuff you can do (and need to do on a regular basis).

Good deal op. Rdr2 is the first time I've bought a game on the first day it was released since Halo 3. Im not far into it but It's great so far.

Far cry 5 is fun too, bought it at the beginning of summer and didn't finish it due to other hobbies but I will be finishing it this winter

Interesting, was thinking of trading in my sons xbox one for a newer one. Does anyone know what they test before they approve the trade in?

That it turns on and isn't bricked I believe. Im pretty sure it has to be refurbishable, but doesnt have to be on the spot resellable. If you decide to go for an Xbox One, get the Xbox One X. Its more expensive, but its absolutely the better of the two.

My lady and her fam are all on PS so that's why I got a PS4 Pro.

Cannot wait to get this game. Ive been a PC guy all my life, but its getting too goddamned expensive to keep building up my PC rig. Though, I still vastly prefer Mouse and Keyboard.
