Whats a proven combo to make 340-360RWHP on a N/A 97 cobra?
Cams/High comp and bolt-on's? i want to keep my b heads and intake, will probably do a short runner intake.

Forget my last tread i'm no longer looking into doing any swap and have the opportunity to buy my dream 68 mustang, the cobra engine still needs a rebuild and might as well do some upgrades.

i keep seeing this list, im keeping my stock rods and cast crank(mark 8 engine), what piston combo would work with those cams? im looking into MODmax 4v flat tops 0cc pistons. also do the cams require new springs?

Shaun at SorT is the man. Sounds like an awesome build!

Toploader or T5 or ?

T5, yeah he is. This is not my first 68 i had another coupe with Global west front upper and lower control arms, viking double adj coilovers and SorT watts link and other mods, I sold it and bought the 97 cobra, i regret it not because of the cobra and lost alot of money:mad:. Made a lot of mistakes but now, lets say i learned a lot.

is the engine stock?
the engine is a stock mark 8 that i bought to replace my broken cobra one. it will recieve a rebuild with the stock crank/rods and new higher compression pistons. the head will be rebuild as well. im just looking to take advantage of the rebuild, my budget is 6.5k and will be doing most of the assembly work.

flat tops
mill heads .040"
intake valve reliefs
short runner
1 3/4" headers
Cams

cool i will be going for the modmax 0cc flattop pistons with 4v reliefs, on headers i already have both frpp and jba shorties with a xpipe so i will be sticking with those. on the cams which one do you recommend 106160/106100? i want to stick with the stock springs. i also have a 90mm maf , 47lb injectors and C&L Cai. i will re use my timing components and just replace what is bad, with the exeption of adjustable gears to degree the cams.

Longer duration cams require longtubes. Also, I don't recommend either of the cams you mentioned for a B headed engine.

so what cams do you suggest? properly stock degree cams?
dang wanted to keep the ease of install that shorties provide, oh well thanks long tubes it is.

Compared to C heads, Bs need longer durations to make power. An off the shelf option are the Comp 106400s. I've done some custom cams for stock engines that have 360rw with only headers and short runner.

ok so

flat tops, intake valve reliefs
mill heads .040"
short runner
1 3/4" headers
Cams 106400s

im assuming this cams require new springs and retainers?

those cams will require springs and retainers. I sell custom cams that use the stock springs if you're interested.
