I've heard alot of (bad) on this kit. I personally don't like the thought of having to pump the oil back to the motor, but... Either way, I need to start weighing my options. How about the ON3 single, or twin? Or even the hellion twin, (although the ON3 twin looks very similar for barely 2/3 the cost). I'm coming from a Paxton, I have forged pistons / rods, and a stall spec'd for a turbo currently so I'm trying to stay away from superchargers, unless I can't figure out a good turbo system. At that point I'll be buying another set of headers, and another large ATI balancer:(

After the hellish install with poor fitment on the drivers side downpipe, my ON3 twins have been great. No issues at all for over 2 years. For a budget build, they're hard to beat.

Are you happy with the performance? I see your over 600 wheel, how much boost to do so?

I dyno'd at 545rwhp at 7.5 psi. I now have it turned up to 10.5psi still on pump gas only. So my guess is somewhere in the low 600ish range for power. I'm very happy. Smooth, quick spooling, quiet, with no need to remove sway bars or hear the nasty sound of an open waste gate.

Why drop the paxton?

I actually decided about a year ago to upgrade to a turbo system. I actually messed up my head unit by over-spinning it trying to make decent boost up here in 9000' DA, but I've been waiting for my turbo kit since Feb. Broke the Paxton in May, or June of this year while waiting for the turbo kit.

If I would've just been smart and upgraded my centrifugal kit with either a Vortech JT, or YSI, I may have just built the motor and held off on the turbo for a later date, but I could barely make 11 psi with a 20% od balancer, and 3.47" blower pulley on my 2200 Paxton. It did however run really well on E85 at that boost level I'll admit!

I wanted a turbo originally but wound up with the paxton due to price. It seems similar to me but I will be watching to see what you end up with. I am curious the power difference. That DA sure would be a challenge.

I had the Hellion single and your better off with the Paxton. I went with the Paxton after I dumped the Hellion single and really liked the Paxton until I got to the point where I needed to upgrade to an 8 rib so I sold it and went On3. Once you've got the On3 kit up and running you'll realize the switch was a no brainer.

The Hellion twin kit is the better kit for sure, but for me it wasn't worth the extra cash over the On3 kit. I don't regret going On3 at all.

Jeff- you plan on running rear exit exhaust or a front bumper exit? I would go with a on 3 single or do a custom fab single with a front bumper exit, using kook rear shortys or their forward facing ones they make for amargeons twin turbo kits. I am planning on switching to a turbo this winter.

I've actually been on the CPR waiting list since Early February, so single turbo, regular exhaust outlet. I'm losing hope on whether or not he'll be able to get me my stuff though, that's why I'm starting to window shop. I'm fairly into either of the on3 kits, and it's hard to ignore the Hellion twin, but it's price is kinda outta hand imo. I don't want a dumped wastegate, or bumper / fender exit exhaust, unless I end up being pro-mod fast hahaha

I have the hellion twin kit. I absolutely love it. The CPR kit is also a great looking kit, but the wait time is not all that acceptable.
The on3 twin kit is a great kit for the price, but sometimes needs a little massaging to get installed. still a kit that cannot be beaten for the price. They also make a single kit now, but not sure on fit/finish of it.

The CPR is what I really wanted from the beginning, but being 6 months late, on a 4-5 month wait estimation has me thinking I may be lucky to have the damn stuff by next spring. The Hellion twin has certainly caught my eye, did you install it?

Yes I do all my own installs. The On3 kit wasn't hard to install at all and fits just fine. I can see how guys have issues with it and complain about the fitment, but all the turbo kits I've installed have had what you can consider fitment issues.

Good to know! How much performance advantage would you say a Hellion twin has over your On3 twin. I know Sai li uses On3 a lot, and is in the 7's!

There isn’t gonna be much of a difference in performance until you push well past 1000rwhp. Hellion has the advantage in fitment and quality of parts. My biggest complaint about the on3 kit would be that it uses cheaper thinner steel pipes, but I also can’t complain because it’s held up well. Wastegates, bov and turbos all work great. I’d buy the on3 kit again if I had to start over with a new car.

in installed it over 4 years ago... think winter this will be 5 years. Car was so much fun to drive with it. at low boost (5psi) it had plenty of power, especially with the mt82. then i kept pushing it and pushing it.... until i was well over 800whp and running high 9's at 144-146 with stock motor at 8000+DA. Kept going through transmissions (MT82 doesnt like RXT or no lift shifting) and ended up building a motor and tossing in a th400. Love the car now at the track. but with the cage (10point) its not as enjoyable to drive on the street (not that it holds me back) i ususally keep it on wastegate pressure (10psi) and just have fun driving around town, to work, or to the store.

I see you're from Colorado, I'm from SW Wyoming. I too race in ridiculously high DA, usually 9K in Evanston Wyoming. That's impressive mph from a stock engine! I'm guessing the Hellion twin has no back-pressure issues, lol!
