I have been reading that the GT350R wheel hubs and studs are different than the regular 350 and that there aren't any aftermarket wheels avalable for the R. I haven't been able to confirm this so I thought I'd ask the question here in the appropriate forum. I am considering an R recently but I may steer toward the regular 350 if the R can't take aftermarket wheels.

Thanks

The only difference on the car is the extended front studs. The carbon wheel has a very thick pad, likely for strength purposes. When you swap to an aftermarket wheel the pad does not need to be as thick, and therefore leaves the extended studs with a lot of exposure. They are so long that the OEM lug nut will not work, and you need to use an open ended one.

I actually developed a custom lug nut to work with the Signature Wheels I use, and allow the front and rear lug nuts to sit at the same depth. Here is a photo of the new Titanium ones that I just had built. I will be mass producing them for other enthusiasts to use soon.

You can count on my business for wheels and lugs in the near future!
