Just seeing if anyone has hands on experience with this kit twin turbo on3? goods and bads? or should I just stick with a blower set up? Looking to make 650 for the street and something stupid like 900 with full kill tune on e85.... but if these kits suck I will just pass, they are priced so good that its hard to let it pass by if they will do the job.. thanks for any input

I'm considering one myself. Are you going to do the install?

Yea I am gonna do it myself, I dont see it being too big of deal. It's not gonna be as easy as a supercharger install just because of the time it takes removing everything, I was gonna do headers anyways with vmp tvs install. I think if ya just set time aside and just do alittle at a time in steps it should make it fun like putting together a match box car when we was little haha... what kind of intake are you thinking about running?

I have been trying to sell my vortech set up for a while now so I could make the switch... unfortunately I keep getting flakey buyers.... I have talked to a couple of guys over on modded mustang forum and they have loved the kit on there 2v... however they did mention that a couple pieces should be upgraded such as oil filter relocation, blow off valve and wastegate... If and when I do get the kit I will get there upgraded ball bearing 67 trim. There 70 is a hit or a miss from what I have been told.

I would do the install myself, to me that is half the fun. From what I've read there is some fabrication to make it work. I would run the stock intake for now.

Good deal, I called hpp and they said it was the best "china" kit system out and they sell them as budget systems for people that dont wanna break the bank and they do fine. They stated it "fits" but you have wiggle them in a sense and dont tighten the clamps all the way until you get everything in for wiggle room, I was thinking about running the upgraded 61mm twin turbo system myself with a stock 01 cobra upper and lower intake. so what kind of fab work are they talking that needs to be done? I dont wanna get into hacking my car up too much...

Just my opinion, but if you have the skills I'd seriously look into building your own kit. Start with something like the CG Fab hot side and go from there. I looked into turbo kits when I had my 01 and it seemed at some point most of any kit is changed. Even the Hellion kit we installed on a buddies 98 GT needed some tweaks to install. I think the wastegate and BOV were updated before he bought it.

Yea I ended up buying an older hp performance twin turbo kit off a member on here.. so I will end up throwing it on but I dont have all the parts I will need the pipe that goes back to the cat back and some 02 sensor inputs... and also some odd and ends like oil kit, k member, and those misc parts. I probably will be contacting cg fab. Seems like to me you could buy cg fab stuff and your turbos cheaper than what ya could do a kit for..
