Were you there Nick?

I didn't go, I had a couple prior engagements that were more important to me.

I'm not a huge fan of the dealer meetings...they basically turn in to a chest bump, fist pumping, "I can spend more money than you", drinking party. Not my style.

Are there loose women?

If so, I’m going to open up a franchise and attend the next one.

Somebody please photoshop the front black grill piece body color already. Let's see how it will look painted.

Try to squint your eyes and pretend this is a high quality Photoshop (it's Microsoft Paint...)

Unless you accelerate with your foot planted to the firewall all the time, it IS a slushbox. There is no shortage of videos out there that display that; lazy shifts, lackluster shift paddle response, skipping gears, etc. So, you can LOL all you want. That still won't change the fact that it's a slushbox. Nobody drives around at full throttle all the time. If you want to argue over it, you'll be arguing with yourself.

I wonder how the new GT500 will fair around a road course. I expect it to be faster than the GT350, but how will it hold up in 20-25min sessions? My concern is that the additional weight will mean higher running costs as you go through brakes and tires quickly. I am interested in knowing how Ford will be addressing any potential cooling issues.

I’d still like to hope for a “base” version that holds off on CF brakes, magnetic suspension gizmos, and uses a more aesthetically pleasing rear wing.

Make it a manual with no options for 64,995.

Looks almost exactly like all the recent mock ups.....and that is NOT a good thing. Oh well, continues with the trend of ugly S550 cars.

I just hope the hood fits the 2015-2017 S550. Since it has the same fenders and headlights..There is a great chance.

Reading on the other forum, the ex-Ford engineer who worked on the GT350 and has some insider information, is curios about the rumored 10 speed.

He said that he knows people who have driven the DCT in this car.

Although, that could point to the delays if they had to turn around and use the 10 speed, which I will admit is a slight disappointment.

@Tob what is the latest on the Tremec factory?
