I am getting ready to store my 350 for the winter for the first time and am looking for some tips. I’ve heard to use a fuel stabilizer, over inflate the tires, fill the tank, change Oil, wash car.

Are all these on your to do list? Anything else I should consider? Start the car vs don’t start the car?

Thanks

Do you plan on keeping your GT350 for less than 15 years, or are you keeping it for more than 15 years?

Doing the same and since these engines sometimes have piling issues, I wonder how often they should be started and allowed to warm up.

It is the problem also known as phat phinger posting. Should have been oiling. I will clarify that I love this car and have not one problem so far. Just wonder if the oil moving around periodically would be a good thing or not. Sorry for the panic I caused of another problem!

Haha

Honestly, I'd be more concerned for rodents than oiling.

Oiling mean no hard feelings.

If you can start it once a month or so and let it run for 10-15 minutes then there are no worries. A bar of Irish Spring on a floormat in the car should keep rodents away. If the garage doesn’t go below freezing then just keep the tires at 32psi.

If you can’t start the car for 6 months then get a trickle charger and leave the tank over half full with 93.

1) is there anything special with those tires in cold weather? I know some of the sticky tires have special storage instructions if dropping below a certain temp

2) I would argue against letting the car idle for 10-15 minutes as this will likely produce condensation while not keeping it warm enough, long enough to burn it back off. If you can't take it out and drive it for a while don't start it.

The regular super sports shouldn't have an issue in cold temps if not being driven.

If they were cups it would be a different story.

I also agree on driving it if it's a warmer day ever now and then. Cars don't like to sit.

Depending how long the car sits, use ethanol free fuel if possible. Moth balls/sticky traps, a few PSI over inflated tires etc or tire cradles, and a trickle charger

Regarding the tires, when I owned my 12 Boss 302, the owners manual or tire supplement mentioned that the tires (Pirelli Pzero) should be stored at room temperature if possible. I believe this will help avoid side walls cracking prematurely (mine did). Maybe Michelin is different....

I'd look in your owners manual to see if they have some tips on storing the car as well. For my Boss, Ford recommended starting the car every couple of weeks and running it if possible.
