Just let the record show that I also have an Apple Watch, but I want something more professional given my line of work. Volvo customers are probably the most unique I have ever seen.

Hell, I stopped wearing watches except for my Garmin Phoneix 5S Plus, and I won't ever go back to wearing a regular watch. I'm past the point in my life in which I feel the need to impress people.

Good choice man! I feel like y'all may have been a little different than the people I'm referring to. Haha

I've never had so many weird questions and requests since selling Volvo. Certainly Mercedes, Lexus, BMW, etc. aren't like this? Lol

Yeah, well you're a GM. I have people to impress that I need to take me seriously. Lol

500-1000 dollars for a watch that tells time
400 dollars for a watch that lets me send email, look at pictures, instagram, help with health monitoring, and make phone calls/texts

Yea, I'm wearing the apple watch. I just can't justify an Omega when all it does is tell me what time it is lol
Is this a serious post or sarcasm? I send e-mails on a fricken computer not my wrist!

Look, we can argue time is a construct of man and all that jazz all day long, it's not gonna keep me from wanting a nice watch or two. It's a hobby, much like cars. Why do we drive what is surely excess when something like an old Honda Civic will still keep us relatively safe and get the job done?

Some people just like watches. Other people (I kinda throw myself in this category) are a bit more fashion forward, and there aren't a ton of classy accessories a man can wear. A nice chain, maybe a bracelet, and a watch are about all your options (for what in my opinion are classy accessories that can be worn under a multitude of different settings - casual, semi formal, formal, etc.)

A good looking watch can go a long way to complete a look that you like. I'm not a "watch guy" but I really liked the Movado Pilot SE I saw when I was on vacation. I kept going back to look at it because I personally liked it so much. It's nothing high end (it was a bit over a grand IIRC) but it was more than I usually spend on a watch not being a watch guy. Every time I wear that watch it makes me smile. I love it, so to me it was worth it.

I couldn't see myself spending 5 grand on a watch, but I most definitely understand people who DO spend a lot on watches. You like what you like. And I also understand there being a quality difference. For me, this watch blew my skirt up, so I got it.

@DaleM Nice Bell&Ross. I tried to like mine but couldn’t get comfortable with the style so I sold it. Love the Hublot too! I have one that stays in the case most of the time. I always default to my Rolex deep sea sea dweller, just feel the most comfortable of any piece I own.
@zhisel I’ll sell you one of mine.
Omega is nice, but there are better values out there. Buy preowned as well.
