For eleven hundred there has to be a meet and greet in there, right?
Nope. Most I ever paid for a concert ticket was $350, that was last year for The Eagles. I thought that was insane. But i like the eagles. Im just not a big concert guy. I only paid $75 a ticket for journey and def leppard a few months ago. Paid $35 a ticket for Poison. ACDC was 45. Motley Crue was 55. George straight was 80. U2 was 40. But 550? Lol nah.

Yeah ticket prices are insane...I'm into me for 150...lower level. Some of the seats were high 200s in my section on stubhub...than you get to pay a 30 buck service fee only to print your own ticket...bastards

You lucky bastard. I want to take my son so bad to one of their shows on this tour.
I could only hope they'd play a shit ton of songs from Kill em All. 4 Horsemen live would be epic.
I love all the early stuff right up to and including the black album, but don’t care for much after.
Completely agree.....
Ive been listening to some of the old stuff remastered on Youtube. Some of them by Andy Khairat are pretty good as he likes to highlight the bass guitar that you couldn't hear originally.
Plays best with headphones!
Same here guys!
After the 'And Justice For All,.......' album, they sucked.

Papa Roach was 10 bucks at the county fair, Shinedown Godsmack and Asking Alexandria tickets were 65 each.
My Grand daughters , 3 of them cost for tickets were the same.
Oldest Grand daughter is 11 , and 2 of them are 7.
Ticket prices for and old guy are hard to swallow , when I remember seeing Pink Floyd , Lenard Skinner , Led Zeppilin , Jethro Tull etc.... for less than 10 bucks a ticket .
I remember the first time I had to sit in an assigned seat ....Jethro Tull at the Red Rocks in Colorado .
What a shock .
As you can imagine , I grew up in festival seating , where we sat and stood right in front of the band , smoked weed , drank electric cool aid, ate acid .
Just a great time back in the say .
Last time I saw Metalica , was in the 90's and tickets were 20 bucks each .

Metallica puts on a big ass show... but someone has to pay for all those expensive ass rigs, monitors, lighting etc.

Last time I saw them live, Jason was still in the band and they were still in their prime. Ive seen a lot of recent tour footage and, frankly they are all losing a step. Except Robert... but he's young enough that he doesn't have an excuse.

Last show I saw was NIN kicking off their Cold and Black and Infinite tour last month. Absolutely amazing show, and they played the entirety of their broken EP. $70 bucks for balcony seats but its what I wanted. Lol, there were a few oung hot chicks but the majority were like me: in their id to late 30's and 40's. Here's your sign... :D

Id only pay $550 bucks for a show per ticket if Slayer resurrected Jeff Hanneman and brought back Dave Lombardo. Short of that? Ill watch it on youtube. I still want to see Slipknot live, but only if they brought back Joey Jordison.

On one hand I don't blame these bands and artists for demanding such exorbitant prices because people will pay them. On the other hand, they are getting older and they with that comes differences in recording, performances, etc.., As an example, look at KISS. In 2019 they are supposedly doing the End of the Road Tour. I'm sure tickets won't be cheap and not only will ti be the same show from the past 20 years, it will still resemble a tribute band with two faux members. Look at the Gene Simmons Vault and tell me that isn't pathetic. $2k for what?

I'll stick with watching youtube vids of Headbangers Ball!

LOL. In the first week of September the wife and I saw Queen, Mariah Carey and the Eagles to the tune of $3,000 in tickets.

Christ I am old.....last Metallic concert I went to was the night of the OJ chase.....Oct. 2nd, 1995. I went to tons of concerts mostly in the 70's, 80's and 90's but just saw Jethro Tull in Philly last month and the ticket was $100 the most I ever paid for any concert.

Without John Deacon and Freddie Mercury = No Queen

Though May and Taylor seem like they still have it.

Are we talking the Bronco chase? That wasn't October of 1995. Maybe Metallica really worked ya over?

Funny...Alice Cooper was in town last year and I wanted to go, my cousin was like no way I'm paying 80 bucks to see Alice...well I've seen him twice and at 80 bucks his show was bargin...easily one of the best shows lve ever seen...saw him open for Ronnie James Dio in Tampa several years ago and then by himself a year later...friggin awesome show

I have really cool story about Aerosmith and journey, but don’t feel like typing it out on my phone. Happened maybe 33 years ago or so.

Saw them in St. Louis, great show!
Lars is not on point, and I thought the guitar notes weren't all there, like there were notes missing, or they don't play like studio in concert.

But a ton of fun to see.

I've been to a ton of shows and the show versions are rarely like the studio
