With the introduction of the gen blower cases, i feel like i am hearing less and less about KB and whipple blowers. I wonder if they will come out with front feed stuff for 5.0's. Great thread.
The front feed Whipple 2.9 is a beast. They are out there. I see them on my group quite a bit.

Thanks for the compliment on the thread.

I don't have any in car videos. I have the video of my pass, but couldn't figure out how to link it.

scott_o - yes Sir. It's a normal Coyote car, stock rear gear, stock (built) transmission, stock converter, ect. It drives the same as stock until you put a load on it and then the party begins. Ha ha. Thanks for the compliment.

No BG True Street. I have no safety equipment, so they would give me the boot in short order. I'm also too big of an NMRA fan to participate. I will be down there Thursday night through Saturday night, perusing the pits and watching heads up qualifying.

On M&H 28x4.5x18 bias ply fronts, absolutely. They rock. Super stable, smooth and excellent tread wear.

thanks ill look into the 26's for my car as i need new front runners and the m&h's are dot legal. i trailer mine most of the time but have driven it to the track a few times so that is a big plus.

most cars that run that fast have half the interior hacked out, full cage and parachute

these coyotes are rewriting history

Thank you. Full disclosure, I did pull the seats. I could get that weight loss via some remaining low hanging "weight loss" fruit, but haven't.

Beast!!! Congrats OP. 8s is an accomplishment many in our sport will never achieve.

Well done!

If anyone is interested here are a few other details:

The car sat and cooled for nearly two hours before my pass. I was cycling ice through the intercooler system the entire time. When I went to the lanes to make my pass, I was brought onto the track almost immediately. I couldn't have scripted it any better.

I made this pass on the same belt I've had on the car since May. It definitely says something about the blast treatment on the pulley.

Iat2 started at 75*, dropped to 69* and peaked at 89*.

The 1-2 shift was a short shift by 800 rpms (7200). The 2-3 and 3-4 were short shifted by 400 each (7600). All shifts should be at 8000. So I definitely left a little on the table there.

I reviewed the log in Excel to get my 0-60 mph and 0-100 mph times.

0-60 mph = 1.92
0-100 mph = 3.93

Badass. Coyote's are so efficient, it's almost crazy. Car looks damn good too man! Love the color of the wheels.
Thanks! They are powdercoated and have a vinyl wrap on the star pattern. The letters in the beadlocks were hand painted by a professional pin striper.
