It may be the mew norm but hopefully will improve with time and rehab. She starts PT/OT next week they prescribed her two different blood thinners and two other meds for the dizziness / vertigo. At least she gets to come home in the morning because they got the blood viscosity where they want it. She'll have to have blood tests on a weekly basis, for the foreseeable future.

So sorry to hear this. I know a few people that have had strokes in their 30s. Thankfully, it was tended to quickly. Your little girl is someone to be proud of. Is the dizziness something that will get better, or will this be with a new normal for her? I deal with imbalance, so it's always something to be aware of. I pray that the doctors can do their best for her, and she will also be in my prayers.

Yes, I'm very proud of my daughter she acted just as we taught her. The doctor gave her some nice praise. After the kids left the room he said could have been the end if she hadn't been there to call.... she just entered Middle School, is an athlete, absolutely gorgeous, and has brought home nothing but A's so far this year. She also was incredible help with her little brother while we were away from home helping my mother and mother-in-law who were good enough to stay at our house with the kids while this was going on. Thank you for saying that about me as a father we really try to be the best parents we can.

So sorry to hear this. Happy she's still with you and hopefully she gets treatment that fixes it. Your daughter is a HERO, and you sir have good a proper job of being a good father with her. Prayers for your wife!

Very sorry this happened to your wife. Moments like this draw families together and she will need your strength, love and support, of course. You'll need each other. My prayer is that she will recover well from the stroke. Fortunately her young age will help her in the recovery process. Still not an easy road, of course, but there is great hope she'll live a good, productive life going forward. That is what I will be praying. Praying for you, too, brother, and your daughter.

Thank you for all the well wishes everyone, much appreciated. I don't really discuss shit like this in my personal life so this is always a great place to vent. It's been a tough year for us as a family, I suppose the only place to go from here is up. Although as my luck would have it, when I went to the hospital to pick her up this morning someone hit my truck and took off. The great days continue, I guess. FML.

Sorry to hear, man. I hope things start looking up for you and your family.

Look at it this way: your using up all your bad luck now. You can't help but have some good luck coming your way.

I'm thankful your daughter was there to call 911 and they were able to save your wife.
Life downright sucks at times but the truck can be fixed, you have a family that loves you and you obviously love... hold them tight!
You never realize how much you have until you lose them.
No parents or grandparents left at 32, only immediate family is my sister and her family 7hrs away in Colorado. If something goes awry with me if I can't call for help I'm done.
I'm praying for you your wife and your family, with her still being relatively young it increases her odds of recovery exponentially... I know shes not out of the woods yet but I think within a week you'll have good news!
Life is like a sociopathic prepubescent teen that loves to kick you in the nuts whenever given the chance. You dont expect the first kick, or the second. You just got to get a hand down to block the following blows, before you get a chance to lay them out.

Very sorry to hear about your situation. You guys are in my prayers and I am with you on 2018. It has easily been the hardest year of my life and I am just waiting for it to be over. I just tell myself that things can only get so low and if you can stay positive and keep pushing things can only go up from there. But the potential of losing a loved one will never leave you however, that is difficulty on another level. Glad to hear that your wife is doing better and is fighting through it.

I am sorry you are going through this. Just keep praying and stay positive. I know you probably already covered it but have your doc run a full blood panel (including blood sugar A1c).
