hey all I am about to purchase a 03 Mach 1 5 speed. It has a fully built forged shortblock
Details are
Wap block
Eagle forged crank
Scar h beam rods
Diamond forged pistons -19cc 8.4-1 compression
Has a Eaton swap on it at 13lbs
How much can I safely run on this motor I would like to do a Whipple 3.4 on it

With a stock term swap in my Mach and a 2.3 L whipple safely at 601 rwhp if that helps as a baseline

That's some really low compression. Going to need alot of boost. What kind of rod bolts are in it. If the 8740 you should be good to 700rwhp. If the 2000 then close to 1000rwhp shouldn't be a problem.

Just out of curiosity and for comparison, how much is the car making now?

1000rwh...dont get him started lol the list of "other" parts he will need to support that power won't be cheap. Also safe is a relative term just because the motor is built if you can't drive it, Smash red line all the time, race it a lot, don't let it cool down etc something will fail even at acceptable power levels for the blocks build specs.
