Washed Rachel after she was sitting for a couple weeks. Then went to a local car show.

This morning I brushed up against the passenger side mirror and folded it as I made my way out of the garage to go to work..

Didn’t fold it back either...just stared at it as I backed out of the driveway and left

It's a 96 vert. 77K. It's got the usual mods: gears, tune, springs, exhaust, clutch/shifter, wheels/tires, and hood. Paint is original and there is not a hint of rust anywhere. Got it from a real nice guy and mustang enthusiast. She looks like she has been someones garage baby her whole life. Going to keep the tradition going.

I've been working on removing the lower molding on the rear window of my coupe. Of course the LMR "how to" shows it being easily pulled off....not quite the case. Mine came off in bits and pieces and now I'm slowly prying out the metal retainer from under the glass, as it appears that it is also glued in with the rear window sealer. I read a few people had this issue, I didn't think it would be this much of a PITA.

So that's what I did today, removed another inch or so.

Got my car back from the painter having painted from the firewall forward, got the blower test fitted, and the new valve covers and spark plug covers on. Still got a while to go. Finding little stuff I had forgotten/not planned for, but I sure hope I can get it running this year.

Got the undercoating finished on my car and got the accessories on the motor. Now it’s time to fine tune the spacing for the 8 rib. Really hope I get to try and put the motor in next weekend.

Just bought a 94 cobra less than a month ago. So far I did the following:

1. New OEM ford racing clutch, flywheel, rear main seal, bearings, etc.
2. 1-1/2” lowering springs
3. New rear shocks
4. Mac ORH pipe, 40 series Flowmasters
5. Royal purple Synchromax fluid

Had a misfire pop up a few weeks ago, so decided to change a few things. Coils, plugs and wires later, she runs better than when I bought her. Gonna get me in trouble!

All Motorcraft, btw.

Does anyone know how to get the covers off the 94/95 tail lights? On the 96-98 they just snap off pretty easy. I'm wanting to paint some covers I have and of course they would be easier separated.

And always looking for more lol. Originally picked up an extra set in case something happened to the pair on my cobra and its just snowballed from there. Really want to find an easy way to paint the 94/95 tails though.

Edit: Seems most people just tape up the lenses and spray paint them. Ill give that a try.
