I didn't say you cannot do them on jackstand, just that you must have to be a glutton for punishment to do so. Much easier on a lift in my own garage. You guys are also (betting) 30+ years younger than me...

Ball joints on a press are easy. Just borrow the tool from O'Reilly (or wherever) and use the sleeves in your press. Way easier than messing around with that stupid C clamp thingy, that probably is too small anyway. I need one tool kit to press them out and the combo of one kit and another (4wd kit) to press them in. Took less than 15 minutes to press them out and back in.
Wasn't trying to dis you man, and I'm 61. Wish I had a lift.

My apologies for making a blanket statement about age. Bad assumption and incorrect. I am only 53, so you guys get the age card on me.

My incorrect assumption was that no one in our age bracket gives a crap about these cars (SN-95) and everyone who owns one must be a broke kid. That is what I see up here.

So glad I was wrong! :)

As far a a lift goes, if you are storing a boat or car at a storage garage and could do it at home by stacking, do the math. I was able to "pay" for my lift in 14 months by not having to pay for a storage garage to put my boat in. Cobra gets stacked on top boat in the winter...

I was a broke kid when I first bought my 98, but that was 15 years ago lol

Having said all that..the bmr arms look like the best oem replacement LCA I have ever seen...

^This

Seriously just get the BMR units. I have 0 idea why anyone would go a different route especially when you can even get them with the "X2 style" balljoints pre-installed.
