The most valuable R right now is the 93R. That WILL be a six figure car in the future.
Second is the 00R which has yet to take off in crazy numbers, but I think it will. I'm hoping to acquire one before this happens.
Lastly is the 95R. It's a fine car but that platform doesn't get the love it deserves. I feel like the 95R will always be under appreciated.

Owners of 95Rs love them and they are stout performers from what I’ve heard. They also have race history, which is nice. For me though, painting them all white and putting a standard interior in them keeps me from getting excited about them. They also blend in with every other white Cobra from the era.

There is no mistaking the 00R. It’s the wild child and I dig that!

OK, I was trying to get some thread posts. It's been a little dead around here for a long time.

Why not just offer your opinion on what an average value would be? I mentioned before that zero-mile garage and low-mile garaged cars were different. It states on the price guide page that it is a Median value. That is a middle value from low to high.

I am not sure why everyone takes this so seriously? It's a car with insurance and tax fees which makes it a hobby and not an investment.

I paid $25K for a 1965 Mustang vintage race car in 1990. I spent well over $250K maintaining it until I sold it for $25K in 2016. It was worth every dollar.

This section is quiet by nature. It only covers the 3 Rs with production numbers of 107, 250 and 300. The cars are also old, so not many people swinging by to talk about new problems or the latest mods.

As for my opinion on prices. I did that in post 5 of the first page. Cars can be a good investment. Low production performance cars that were “hot” then will be desireable as collector cars now and in the future. Just don’t buy a performance car that was made in the many thousands over the course of years and expect it to be a good investment. It’s simple supply vs. demand.

I had to look it up... you are correct. The prices are listed as:

Low: $42,900
Mid: $48,800
High: $62,800

I have used NADA pricing for years and years. Other companies like KBB are full of shit.

I am impressed (and surprised) that their guide has such a good grasp on prices for such a low volume car. Not many trade hands compared to regular production cars.

Yes! I got on the nada site and played around with different options for a 93 Cobra. I could actually select a 93 Cobra with options of a 6 cylinder and even a 4 banger! The prices you copied @93 COBRA don’t come remotely close to 93R prices. They are even considerably less than regular 93 Cobra prices.

I suspect the prices are screwed up since this was the inaugural year of the SVT Cobra and you always have a bunch of confused people calling every Mustang a “Cobra!” I suspect regular (non-Cobra) Mustang prices are mixed in thus diluting the data.

Funny! I can’t quote or edit posts. I tried to go into my pm screen and got a big error message. Strange things are afoot at the Circle K!

On limited production / niche vehicles, market value and book value are seldom inline. I’ve never considered book values as gospel but unfortunately most lending institutions, insurance companies and re-sellers (at trade in time) do.
