Hey guys. Total e85 noob here. I'm looking for some advice on what to do with my 2019 Mustang GT to get it ready for e85.

In terms of mods I have American Racing headers and a Borla S-Type Cat back on the car, along with a ported '18-'19 intake mani, BBK 85mm throttle body, and JLT cold air. I'm using Lund as my tuner.

Other than the fuel injectors, what's the conservative mods I need for e85 on my setup? I've heard/read that I might want to upgrade the fuel pump and filter. Do I (or should I) upgrade the fuel rails? What about the fuel lines - are the 2019 lines sufficient for e85 or should I upgrade those to full stainless?

Really appreciate the help! I'm not worried about the cost, it's most important to me that my car is setup in the best way possible for long life. Thanks!

My immediate goal is 500 rwp. Which is why the e85 is so appealing. Combined with the mods I already have on the car, my thought is that e85 makes that number almost guaranteed. I’m planning on staying NA for the foreseeable future, so maybe I max this thing out around 550 rwp down the line with some additional mods.

Overall my goal for this build is to track the car on the weekend while still being able to drive it to work M-F (15 mile ride to the office), so in addition to the straight performance mods, I also have a bunch of suspension goodies from Steeda on it. Basically I wanted the PP2 or GT350 handling, but also wanted the killer automatic tranny. So I went PP1 and decided to mod my way to as good or better (preferably better) handling and straight up speed.

Your fuel lines and rail will handle that with ease. I wouldn't even go with new injectors unless the duty cycle got up past 85%.

So I don’t need to worry about the lines degrading from the e85? Fuel pump is good too? Sorry for the questions - I’ve been finding varied info online and not much with respect to the 2018-2019 cars.

The auto makers know cars can be filled with E15, wouldn't worry much about running the E85.

I have a 2018 GT A10 on a Lund E85 tune. If you are going to keep it NA you don’t need injectors or anything else. Just contact Lund. They will take care of you and give you all the advise you need.

2018+ cars don't require any modification to run E85, other than tune.

But one practice you need to learn is to trust your tuner and ask them questions like these since they'll be tuning it.
