Bought and installed a new ford lower lip back when they were $500. My old one wasn't bad but my ocd kicked in and replaced it. Gonna post old one for sale here cheap soon. Old one pic.

I have the et street ss in 275/50/15 and I was able to dead hook on my last pass dumping the clutch at 4200, the car bogged bad so the 60” wasn’t good next time I run I’m gonna try dumping it at 5k

The exhaust leak finally annoyed me enough to do something. I replaced the bolts at the mid pipe/cat back joint with new shorter bolts. Adjusted the tail pipes a little trying to even them out. And rolled the driver side fender a little more. I might wipe it down later for a meet tomorrow morning.

Some pictures showing how fast I go through belts with a carbinite coated upper pulley. I'm sure I could get more life out of it, but it sure feels flimsy compared to the new one. This one has only about 600 miles on it. I always figured changing the belt once a year. But it might be twice, lol.

That's pretty crazy. Do you keep one in the trunk just in case?

LoL no but maybe I should. They would last longer if I kept my foot off the go pedal.

This is one reason I've thought about doing a lower. I'm always cleaning the belt dust off after every drive.

Have you tried a Gates belt with the Carbinite pulley??? My last gatorback lasted way less than 1k miles, it started chirping at me on my way back from the 1/8th mile track. It looked similar and dusted the heck out of my engine bay. Currently fightin a cold only squeak with my RPM belt.

I’d try and find a caged lower if you do.

That's exactly what I've been looking for. Hard to find.

Jay, I've used a couple gates and dealt with a cold start up chirp. I may have to go back to that as it did produce less dust.

I installed a new AC clutch as the old one the bearing was shot and it would make noise when my AC wasn’t on. Now it works perfect and I fixed it without taking the compressor off the car. And I gave the car a nice bath to.

Good I wouldn’t live on the edge without one running the boost you run. Maybe try a gates RPM belt? I run gatorback due to cold start chirps with gates.

Well I just put a gates HD belt back on. Chirp still there on cold start up. But I can live with that, way less belt dust and boost is holding.

I had micro v gates. Lasted for 2 years. Been chasing my tail with a squeak. Thought it was idlers and it ended up being the belt. But the bullet and bought a 130 dollar gates rpm which is a super nice belt. I must have been having belt slip cause the car runs smoother and revs quicker. My opinion worth the money

I've thought about trying one. It seems I have better luck with a 74.5" belt. I tried a normal gates 75" belt yesterday and it was slipping bad. I could hear the belt squealing bad and boost was down.

I've heard you want less tension on the rpm belt, so maybe the 75" on that would work. I can adjust the tension because I'm running a whipple adjustable auxiliary idler. Maybe I can back it way off with the rpm belt.

Edit:. Just ordered a RPM belt, worth a try. If it doesn't work for me I'll be trying to sell a like new rpm belt. What size did you need that it cost 130? Rock Auto was 58 bucks shipped.

At least you know now that if you buy a new one you won't have to pay $130. I thought it was a typo when I saw the price. Where did you buy it?
