Do we think bigger wheels, brakes, SC and necessary parts add 450# to a 3800# GT350?

Engines double their power with 15psi boost. If Ford detunes the 526hp 5.2 down to 500hp and run 12psi, that is roughly 800hp.

I doubt Ford would run less than 12psi, and these are rough calculations, but I still don’t see how Ford can release a 5.2/TVS2650 with anything less than 750hp, but I can see it with no timing for 91 octane shit fuel.

I can also see it pushing 4100#, but again, what’s a Camaro LS1 weigh?

Well if this is true, I don't think ADMs will be as high as some of us have thought. Still looks like a high 10 second 1/4 will be possible. That would put it in Redeye territory. Hopefully, Ford beefs up the internals on the engine like Dodge says they are doing with the Redeye.

Maybe with DR's. 10's aren't likely on street tires. Especially since the specs are almost identical to my Hellcat and it runs 10.s on Mickey's but 11.5 on street tires.

DCT will really boost overall performance, even if weight is not where everyone hopes it will be.

Honestly, any hope for something under 3900-4000lb is probably not realistic. Cars are just heavy these days. Weight, performance, and cost. Pick two.

It’s going to be heavy and it will have power. And it will cost some coin. It will be faster than the 350R but I’m guessing it won’t drive any better than the R. Something is lost when one goes for more power more weight. Just look at the difference between the GT3 and TT from Porsche.

I was one of those that were contemplating the GT500 and was never intending to trade the base 350R, it truly is a joy to drive. The GT500 will have a hard time hiding the pounds. I'm sure the GT500R will clean its clock on a course tho.
I was looking at the GT500 for a off the shelf HP/weight car and unless this document is wrong, its not going to be what i was hoping for.
I'm sure that DCT will have that 720HP at its peak in every gear, which will be exhilarating, even at 4250 lbs, make no mistake.

If the weight and HP are true, it will all come down to how the DCT affects the performance.
I don't know enough about the real world performance differences between a torque converter auto trans vs a DCT to make a guess of it's 1/4 mile.
