Should the GTR behave like that when launching? Is that normal?

That Vette has to be really difficult to launch. They don’t even hook with 650 horses. 400 more can’t help, even with slicks.

GTR’s are sick...just not my thing. Props to the Vette for choosing a manual and turning up the wick. That bitch has to be a handful.
Exactly. Hard to argue with a GTR, except I own a microwave that sounds more manly.

GM needs to get a fleet of Mclaren cars and learn how they can out launch or be close to the AWD cars on the street.
That GTR would've been pulled by a stock 720s.

It helps that McLarens have their engines sitting almost right on top of their drive wheels. Let's see how the upcoming mid-engined 'Vette does in the launch dept.

Best MPH wins not who crosses the line first. Launching hard from a dig usually doesn't help the MPH. If the goal is to out MPH the other then the vette clearly won.

Like yanking multiple cars on the hit? Or the odd bouncing around?
All BS aside, it's hard to out launch one of those and then its try and play catch up.
No it sounded to me like something was about to break? Could be wrong.

That GTR probably would've been pulled by a stock 570S. It would've been no contest with a 720S. The Corvette guy needs to get his car sorted out on the low end. If that had been 1 mile races, he would've severely dragged the GTR down the whole back half.

The vette had a best mph at this event at 174.01 and the gtr was only running 161.29 - these were both of their best mph- not saying this is what they ran in the video(s) Traction was tuff for the 2wd at this event- I know I was there and ran-

No point in launching hard if you can win the event without it. Why blow your transmission when you don’t have to?

If it was an auto it would have looked much different. My car's 60 @ 1.51 on drag radials without a convertor and with 400 less hp than it has now. I'm doing a half mile event in NOLA and shooting for 185mph (been 147 in the 1/4). I should have the F1R swapped for an F1X by then.
