Popped the Morosso container and found the colour to be like a strawberry shake? Anyone know what might cause that? No noise with the power steering or issues I noticed otherwise...

Anyone else run into this? At a minimum looks like I'll need to flush the PS Fluid.

Here's a pic. of some I sucked up in a turkey baster...

Can anyone comment on the colour of their PS fluid?

Possibly from mixing with a lighter colored hydraulic fluid, contamination, or aeration. I recently topped off my PS reservoir with the recommended Motorcraft MERCON V ATF, and mine doesn't look like that... still has the consistency of trans fluid. I would flush and purge the power steering system as required.

Agreed, and the system will be flushed on Thursday. I've also ordered the rubber O Ring for the Moroso PS reservoir cap just in case it's allowing any moisture/air into the system. No evidence of leaks, so not sure where it might be getting air in. Thanks for the info.!

My guess would be it's mixed with water or coolant.

More likely moisture/water. Can't see previous owner putting coolant into the PS Reservoir and it doesn't interface with the cooling system, so can't cross contaminate that way (checked coolant already and it's fine).

Anyways, hopefully the flush will clear it up.
