Anyone have issues with dipstick tubes on 97 cobra? Bought it from a horrible dealer in Florida who neglected to tell me the tube was pinched until I arrived to pick it up. Car has shorty headers. Can not find a flexibe dipstick for a 4v motor anywhere.

It's been many years since I installed my JBA shorties, but I do remember having to maneuver it back into place after the install. I'm guessing whichever headers you've got probably necessitated that the tube be bent a little, which kinked it. If you're going to replace it with a new tube and it needs to be bent, fill the new tube with sand before you bend; this will keep the tube from creasing and will give you a nice, smooth radius....worked like a charm on my Lightning.

Never thought about using sand but it makes sense. Thanks for the help.
