Does anyone know if BBS Plasma’s come in brushed aluminum? The vast majority of photos I’ve seen show them to be chrome. But in those photo they’re brushed and look great on this Mach.

Plasma is one of the colors. RK is the wheel you posted. If you're lucky enough to get your hands on a set of RKs you can always paint or powdercoat them to your liking. Plasma is the most common color I've seen and is what you posted.

Someone on these forums is selling s staggered set of the RK's that require refinishing. Only thing to remember with those wheels is that the fronts are only 8.5" wide and the rears are 10.5". I love them but started looking at different sets because I want more tire than an 8.5" can take up front. Got me thinking if a 10.5" square setup would be possible though

anything is possible, but i wouldnt go 10.5 on the front. im running an 18x10 on the front and under full lock turns it will rub the inside of the plastic fenderwell splash guard. its not bad enough to be damaging and im almost never turning that sharply, but going even wider is not something i would consider.

I see. I’ve thought about it and I think I might pass on them. I like a squared stance so I doubt they make them in 17X9 or 10. So I’ll just go with either wider reproductions or some weld wheels.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too actually, 10.5" square is pretty aggressive. I'm currently running a staggered setup, and coming from the Euro scene I have always favoured staggered looks-wise. Despite this it seems as though square setups are optimal for handling on these cars if you wish to take back roads and curves. Maybe a 10" square setup will have to be the objective then...

Go staggered and don't look back. The New Edge has a big butt, and it needs a wide tire.

Says the guy running 17×8 on all four corners.

As you know I’m a squared fanboy, and this car will be set up for handling. So wide fronts are needed. Goal is a 275 on all 4.

With 275 up front I would look into a 03/04 cobra rack as it has internal limiters to keep from rubbing. I have the 17x9 and 17x10.5 mach 1 replicas by afs on mine.

I ran 17x9 and 275 up front for years. No rubbing at all.

I’ve considered it. I’d love to find an 00R rack, but those are unicorns.

Seems like no one has some spare 03 Mach valve covers and timing cover. They’re additions I’d like to make to mine.

Steeda also makes limiting clips if you ever need them anyways.
Thanks for the tip. I’ll look into them.

Hah! That's my Mach! Old photo too. Glad your restoration is coming along nicely . . . and RKs are 18x10, not 10.5.

Good to know about sizing on the RKs! I had misinformation but it makes me happy to hear that they are 10"s. Now maybe I can track down a square set...

You have a nice car. The BBS wheels look good on it.
I’m attempting to work on it. It seems like everything in existence is stopping me. Although I bought several things for the car since the last update. So it’s making some progress. There’s a few things I’m searching for that it seems no one has them or they don’t want to let go of them. 03 black Mach valve covers and 03 silver Mach timing cover.

Little update:
I’ve finally started working on the engine last Saturday. There were a lot of personal matters to attend to that took priority over the engine. Those issues for the most part are taken care of; so now it’s finally time to resume my Mach’s restoration.

I managed to install most of the crank bearings with relative ease. After it was completed my father and I basically inventoried the majority of the parts. Ever so conveniently I discovered that I was missing one main cap bolt and another had the head rounded off. So that lasted about 15 mins. Finally got some (bags of 4) from ford for 10.XX bucks through the business. I hope to resume the rebuild on Saturday after the gun show.
I’ve also purchased a few more parts for the car.

Shaker system but without any bolts. Does anyone want to share what all the bolt specs I need to get this thing mounted on the engine?

Again Sublime’s Mach is basically what I want to do to mine. My last piece of the puzzle were the wheels. I narrowed it down to 4 and seeing the CCW’s on his car sold me. I plan on having the stock graphics on the car, and a black terminator spoiler. So the decision on if I’ll have the spokes black or chrome still remain to be determine. But the size will be 17X9’s squared. I’ll have to check the back spacing on them as I’d like to have some 00R Brembo’s on the front.

Looks like a Terminator with a Mach shaker and sail panels, and an air diffuser on the rear bumper.
Is that garage door trim under the 03/04 side skirts?

Didn’t even notice it. No there’s a few things I’ll be changing but that’s the basic look I’m going for with my Mach. I’ll have 35th anniversary side valances and most likely a stock rear bumper. His car has a 99/01 front bumper which mine will have eventually. No air diffuser either or bagged suspension. Mine will have the factory graphics.
In my opinion the Mach 1 should’ve been given a upgraded body not a GT body. It has enough history and pedigree to deserves a special body. Which is why I’m doing all factory ford parts when it comes to the body modifications. Basically I’m making the Mach what I think it should’ve been from the factory appearance wise.
