I currently have an 11 and am running 93 OC

VMP R
2.4
67MM VMP TB
ID1000s
BAP
JLT 123
Mcleod RXT
VMP H/E
KOOKS LTs O/R H

I was wondering motor wise what else I can do to add power SAFELY before I have to rip the motor apart. I was thinking of adding:

Thump tensioner (not sure if that would help)
Different DS (again just supporting mod)
2.5 upper and 10% lower
Maybe a bigger JLT? 127

Any input appreciated. Thanks

An aluminum or carbon fiber DS will really help with transferring power quickly to the rear. I was surprised how much of a difference it made.

Have you done anything with the suspension? LCAs and a panhard would be a minimum upgrade for the street. UCA would be the next step up.

BJ be great if you could post up your opinion here so that we can learn.
His right and makes sense, but he's now a consultant and has a nice service to give GT500 guys a mod plan.
So little public knowledge, pay to play, please correct me if wrong.

For OP, your on pump gas, so more power safely without E85 or Torco additive less optimal.
That Gen2R can make big power.
Does the car hook up now?
How do you use car now? Drag, roll etc?

Precisely. It's my living. And it's damned inexpensive to buy a Personal Performance Plan. It'll save you the price of admission just by not wasting your time nor money.

I greatly appreciate your understanding.

Just thought that a huge aspect of these forums were for the exchange and sharing of information, regardless of your affiliation with the site. With the 7 years that I had my 03', there was a great cooperation with vendors and enthusiasts in the terminator forum. In the 8 years that I've had my GT500, this forum has been different in this relationship. More business like, less emphasis on teaching/learning. BJ is a sharp guy with excellent experience with these cars.

Sorry for getting off topic OP. I think the driveshaft/MGW2/supercharger porting route could be a big benefit for you.

All you lucky assholes with your access to E85!!!! grrrr lmao!

To do an E85 system the right way, its Fore system/ TI (Wahlbro) pumps/ and ID 1050Xs at a minimum. Thats about 4 grand right there, plus installation. If you have regular, steady access to pump E85, its worth it. If its not near you or you have to buy barrels, its just not worth it cost wise. Ive gone through the same debate process as well. All I have in AZ is "Flex Fuel" on the pump, and thats E54. Not worth it for me to spend 4K to run "meh" ethanol.

Sorry guys forgot to get back on this....

I have an MGW on the car and am running NT555Rs in the rear I have done
Springs/Dampeners
UCA/LCA
Pan hard
Front control arms

No problem with hooking I just feel like the car is slow. I should take it and drag it and see what I run and go from there. I am gonna add the DS asap and I have E85 thats not far from my house at all. thanks for the input all.

Does anyone feel like that with their car with similar mods to me? When I first got my car I had the Piolts on there and its felt super fast even though I wasn't hooking I figured the car would feel faster since it hooks now but it feel slower way slower now.

When someone with your mods doesn't have an issue with traction, I have to think you have something going on that's holding the car back. Check out your IAT2s and see where they are. If they're high, check your intercooler pump to make sure it's operating and there is no air in the system keeping it from operating properly.

Fuel...e85.
Anything else isn’t worth mentioning.
...

False all day long.

OP get yourself:
lightweight wheels
carbon fiber or aluminum driveshaft
lightweight clutch and flywheel
a set of billet pulleys from Billet Pro Shop (haven't seen Sylvain post in her in a long time)
an auxiliary idler pulley for more belt wrap around the supercharger pulley
a stronger belt tensioner

That will make your GT500 come alive like you wouldn't believe! You've got the [rear] suspension parts covered, but I highly recommend swapping out the panhard bar for a Watts link. I'd bet your biggest issue right now is belt slippage on the top end. Do you notice a sulfur smell when you go WOT to the top of the revs? Notice any rubber dust on your supercharger pulley? If so, you have belt slippage. Stopping the slippage will make it feel like you gained a good 50HP at the wheels, depending on how bad it is. Also, like mentioned, make sure your cooling is in check. A Killer Chiller is the best way to go, but most recommend an upgraded heat exchanger with fans.

That is all true...(may as well add 2 piece rotors to that package also), but the OP’s question was “how to add more power to his motor safely”

Yeah, two-piece rotors are a good addition. I have those, too. They saved weight, but didn't make a perceptible difference on the butt dyno. I did notice a slight improvement in steering, though, when I first installed them. Concerning power, I've found it's more effective to free up power that you already have than to add more power. If I had done all the mods I've done before I installed my Whipple 2.9, I probably wouldn't have even bothered with the Whipple. The money for that kit could've bought me a nice set of full carbon fiber seats. Would've saved a good 56 lbs over the stock seats. Hindsight... I have some lightweight sport seats in it now, but I still want those carbon fiber seats.
