I'm sorry, but you lost me, so what happened to your first engine? You said it had no oil consumption issues with 2500 miles on it. Did it blow? And good luck with your new one.

Sorry, man. I should of mentioned my first car was a 16 tech pack car. I traded that car in for a 17 with factory coolers.

I have a '16 track Pack with just under 900 miles. I changed the oil when I bought it at 400 miles. I've tried to break it in gently, ie nothing over 6500-7000 rpm and that was one time for just a second or so. Normally, I keep it under 5000 or so. As of today, it doesn't appear to have used any oil. I don't plan to track it, although I have an opportunity to track it next month. If I do, it certainly won't be any hard core tracking. Just a bit of airing it out a bit to have a little fun for a few laps, certainly not a full day of hard running. I'm wondering if a brief one time track event would initiate ongoing oil consumption issues or perhaps just a one time quart or two consumption? To those who have experienced oil consumption issues, what do you think?
Take the car out and have fun! Experience what it's capable of and no that one track day should cause issues, except maybe track addiction

Hilarious. I'll tell you this much...there are more post and threads running with guys that are hard core track junkies with no problems than there are guys who coddle the shit out of their car with no problems. And I'm also including guys who went straight from the dealer to the track.
That being said, do you believe that a car that is driven hard will have less problems thn one that is babied??
Do I believe that? My personal opinion, based on how I've broken every new car (high performance or otherwise) and bike I've ever owned (which includes two brand new Ducati's that went straight to the track) vs the outcome of said vehicle...absolutely!
Definitely go and enjoy the car where it was designed to be enjoyed; on a track! But as BiminiLX said....be careful, it's addictive. Took my Boss302 to a road course for an annual Mustang track day and it was a FANTASTIC experience. So much so, I did it again the following 2 yrs. Prior to this I had never driven a car on a track. Great fun/thrill and learning experience.
And best to do it now while you still have a drive train warranty.....so in the unlikely event you run into an issue, Ford will fix it for you free of charge.

How is the new motor holding up? I’m curious. My 350 now at 3500 seems to be eating more oil than before, but still not enough to freak out. I drive her pretty hard too
So far the motor is very strong. When I brought it in after break in for an oil change, they said it didnt lose a drop. I have about 1000 miles on it now with regular driving on it. I have yet to check the oil. But I will be on my next fill up... I'm very curios

Hey guys, I mentioned earlier in the thread that I was waiting on oil consumption test results. Car failed. 2quartz per 800km. Oil on the plugs. Car went in the shop had the motor replaced with a crate motor from flat rock. This is the 2nd replacement. Less than 10km on the car and already it’s not cranking over right. Cycles 6-7 times before turning over. Dealer said after installation that it happened twice to them. Twice for me now. LOL
Happened another two times after my drive when I stopped and turned it back on. The car bogs as it tries to crank over. These last two times the car attempted to crank over and for a second the lights all went out and then came back as it continued to crank and finally start.
$23,000 later, new engine and the car doesn’t start properly ****ing joke I tell ya hahahahahaha, back in the shop tomm. last Ford I ever buy. These assholes dont even have enough accountability to buy it back. Spends more time in the shop than on the road. as per the tech on the first or second attempt it didn’t turn over at all after all the installation work was done. And now it starts like shit. Now that’s shelby quality.
Man, I feel for you. Makes me wonder if something wasn't done correctly on the second install. Dealer would normally reach out to Ford Engineering to get help on an issue as you described. Can't believe they would hand the car back over to you knowing the cranking problem....and admit that to you. Also, were the original catalytic converters replaced as well after the 1st failure? If they were badly damaged by all the extra oil, maybe they are plugged and/or damaged?
Have you tried contacting Ford directly about your experience? I think you would have a legit case for a buy back. Maybe engage a lawyer to see if it's worth pursuing? When you purchase a $70K plus car (CDN $$), it's not exactly chump change.
You might want to consider another dealer. Good luck and keep us posted on how things go.

The 5.2 makes decent power on stock components. There is a guy local to me, I think he has like 13k miles on his R with a whipple. Makes like 860whp. I know he beats on it a good amount as he does 1/2 mile and 1 mile events.
There are actually a surprising amount of guys on the GT350 forum with over 700whp and no issues.
Correct, Injected did one, and it’s over 800whp on E85, there’s some that can take it, but tbh most cannot.
