That’s a hard question to answer without any info on your current set up. I’d ask your tuner where you were in terms of headroom with injectors and fuel supply in your last set up. I went from stock TVS to ported TVS with the same pulley and 13/14 injectors and I was good, but I was on the edge of maxing the injectors. I recently switched to ID1000’s, Whipple mono TB and a DD149 MAF, which should really help the opened up blower breath even better. Car is at the tuners as we speak, so results to come.

If you had some room (or your just going from completely stock to ported blower) and you’re not changing the MAF tube, TB or pulley you SHOULD be fine with your current tune. However, it’s never a bad idea to get some data on it to make sure.

Jay (1320 Junkie Performance) doesn’t get around these parts all that much anymore but you can hit him on Instagram or Facebook if you want; he’s a great dude and will give it to you straight.

Crazy funny timing for this thread to resurrect but this ported/welded/powdercoated blower was sold to my tuner and he is selling it. He also has a ported matching BPS elbow and FRPP CJ oval TB.
Pretty much a proven 750rwhp combo on pump.
Can order blower and have shipped direct from my tuners shop in a new Gen 3 VMP box.
PM me if interested.

One good question I am asked alot is how much hp can you get from a ported supercharger on a 2014 GT500. I'm not a mechanic and don't know. I'm the guy that has to take my car in for work. Does anyone know?

If your car is already tuned for a smaller upper and/or larger lower pulley, chances are you don't need a tune revision. If you're stock, you probably should consider it although just a port alone will not be a substantial increase in power. A port is probably worth about 30-35 hp on a 13-14 that's making about 18 psi of boost with pulley changes. The more mods, the bigger the gain, but at some point there will be diminishing returns, with a lot of mods (cams, E85) you just need to get a bigger blower.

Odds are you're good to go, when I did a ported TVS on my old GT500 I just logged for safety and everything was good. Your MAF can usually adjust for a little more air coming in.

On a maxed out built 5.8, my ported/welded stock TVS made 930rwhp SAE.

Doing nothing else but porting the supercharger on a tuned car should NOT need a new tune.
