Oddly enough, I’ve been impressed more by boring daily type cars than anything.

I’ve Owned mustangs and worked for an exotic dealership and have driven some of the craziest cars ever made and a few months ago, I rented a fusion and loved it. Titanium eco boost car and I was really really impressed by it. So much so I will probably buy one in the near future.

Girlfriend said that’s how she knows I’m getting old haha

Ya I said it so what.

Fast, smooth, excellent fuel economy, quite ride,

Amazing price point compared to other similar.
50,000 km and changed oil and air filters. Nothing else.

Even had a hitch for pulling stuff and awd(on demand, see spin first but almost seamless

Drove a 79 Corvette a couple of weeks ago. Stock 350 4 speed T tops. Comparing it to a lightly modded 77 auto I drove last year; this one has a lot more guts to it. Low end torque. Might be due to the transmission, and the fact the 77 was missing a driver side frame rail. It’s a really nice car that we’re doing some work to. I like it a lot.

You also have vastly more cargo space over a 77 due to the swept back bubble glass greenhouse. Just to bad GM killed the lift gate at the last second in 78 due to budgetary concerns (read $14 for the lift shocks, just couldn't justify that even though most vettes averaged about $15,000 back in 78) as I am sure a lot more people would of ordered them. The only C3 to get the lift gate is the 82 collectors edition.

Ironically we were discussing the fastback style back glass and cargo space yesterday. I’m not much on the C3 but I do like this car. It’s black white pinstripes and white, oyster is the name of the color of the, interior. Next time I’m at the shop I’ll snaps a picture of it.
I didn’t know that about the 82 model, or I did I had forgotten it. Cool stuff.

Yeah I was sort of meh on Vettes until my dad bought the 2016 that is in my Avatar and now for the last 2 years we both been doing a lot of Vette only shows as I bought a 2005 Monterey Red convertible one of only 359 verts made in that color for 2005 and another 358 coupes for 717 total made in that 2006 color for 2005.

A lot of people say I should do a Youtube channel about the various vettes made in history like my 2005. Still debating about it as it takes a lot of time and editing to make it seem seamless from start to ending.

Very nice. That should be an LS2 correct? Or the auto variant of the 6.0.

I really like Vette’s but I’d have to get rid of one of my mustangs to get one, which I’m too attached to the Mustangs to get one. Unless it was this 79, but I doubt he’ll sell the car. I wouldn’t mind a Heritage package 11+ C6GS manual Targa top or a nice Targa top C5 manual (fuel mileage FTW). Being my paycheck doesn’t support C6ZR1’s or the C7’s I want (Carbon 65 GS, or Captain America colors GS, and ZR1). I nearly bought a 90 ZR1 Red on Red, with 12K miles. Really liked that car.

Yeah the 2005 was LS2 and had a 4 speed auto 4L65E the 5 is for 5 planetary gears over the 4 that the C5's 4L60E 97-04s had that is the only difference between a 05 and C5's 4 speed autos. The 2006 have 6 speed autos with paddle shifter on a 3 spoke Cobalt steering wheel since it was the only type steering wheel that was able to have the paddle shifter added to it over the left and right spokes to the steering wheel. But that wasn't the first time a Vette had to share a common passanger car steering wheel 1976 was the first time when it used a common Vega steering wheel.

Touareg R Line TDI - tons of torque, handled well

18 Wrangler Rubicon - 10x better than what I expected.

17 GTR - hard to explain the feeling of being launched after coming from rwd Shelby & SVT Cobra. Feels like it was cut out of a solid piece of billet.

It never fell apart? Lucky. An ex gf had a non-turbo Eclipse from that gen & a wheel fell off while I was driving it down the turnpike one night. Thankfully, no one was hurt.
I had a non-turbo talon that I couldn’t kill, 230k miles and still running strong. I put one clutch in it and two sets of brakes. It was a great little car.

Favorite: 04 lightning. Just Enough power and fun suspension.

Least favorite. Piece of shit rental in Costa Rica. 3 cylinder SUV 4x4 with bald tires. Complete piece of shit.

The car that must surprised me and I nearly bought was the previous generation Subaru WRX Sti. I was amazed at how well the thing stuck to the road. It drove very well. Biggest thing that stopped me was price and the fact that the interior in those is so cheap looking.

Another mention is the Jeep SRT. Loved it. Do not like the price.

Some good info. I’m not much on auto so that was a learning experience.

I’ll get some better photos once it’s out and in some sunlight.

My 2018 F150 5.0 10spd really surprised me especially now with the 2018 GT intake manifold and tune. The truck is pretty quick for what it is.

My 95 Z28 A4. Bought it back around 01, super clean, low miles and stock besides a weld in flowmaster and eibach sportlines. I only added an off road y pipe an cai so it probably was a low 14 second car but it never gave me any problems and was nice to daily imo. I honestly prefer the 93-97 camaro looks wise over the LS era.

I agree on the looks. The +98 Camaro is U G L Y.

Pontiac is the opposite however.

I was also surprised/impressed when I test drove my '16 Edge Sport. So much so that I bought one even though my head was set at the time on a '16 Camaro SS. Different animals for sure, but overall the Edge just really impressed me. Still does; even more with the tune.
