Finally got my engine replaced and had an opportunity to get the R back to the track again with the Northwoods Shelby Club at Road America a couple of weeks ago. It felt great to get back behind the wheel and the car ran great but it's time for this car to enjoy a semi retirement looking good on the showroom floor of the shop.

Bruce did you rebuild the motor or install something else?

I had to run to O’reillys to get some detail spray early this evening... I fired up the R and gave it some exercise. I always have a blast driving this car. Got some “nice car” comments and the guy that rang me up at O’reillys came out and took some pics when I was leaving. From a few hours ago:

Wow that looks pretty cool. We don't have any of those in my neck of the woods.

Where is your neck of the woods? I’ve seen sonics nearly everywhere I’ve traveled other than in the heart of big cities. It’s an OK joint - it’s more on the fast food level.

My neck of the woods is in my sig. I just think they are really cool looking. I imagine the food may not be the greatest, but atmosphere is pretty neat.

I'm in Massachusetts. Right outside of Boston.

Ahh. Maybe we can catch a bite to eat sometime. I go up there quite often for work.

Sonic isn’t bad at all. The atmosphere depends on the employees though.

I’ve never been to a Sonic... I am not a burger/fries kinda guy. It does look like a neat place for a car guy to get some grub though.
