Personally I wouldn't go as far as wrapping everything in tweed or alcantara. But maybe one or two things just to soften the interior a little.
Call me old but I like riding in old cars. Today I took my 67 bug out for a nice little Sunday cruise, first time in a lonnnnng time. It has a speedo, a fuel gauge and a metal dash. I hopped in a friends 96 cobra and it still had a tape player, I thought it was the coolest thing. My 04 cobra is pretty modern to me...
Every once in a while I'll look at VW's. I had one back in high school and wouldn't mind another. But damn they're getting up there in price.

It was my first car and I’ve kept it, glad I did. Bought it off a girl who was donating it to charity for $500 bucks.

My VW was my first car. And it was one of those that had been around the friends and family for a long time. But my parents managed to work out a trade without me knowing for a 1970 Mustang. A long time ago I had a chance to buy a Bug for $900. But it wouldn't start and I didn't have a place to park it to trouble shoot it.

i thought about even upgrading my seatbelts instead of the dark color with something that matched the seat inserts. I saw a post a while back of mooch29 car on instagram and looked nice. Look up mooch29 and jonsowa on instagram, they have done imo tasteful upgrades to their interiors.
