As some may know I’ve been waiting for quite some time for my R to arrive and it arrived like this. I am sooooo pissed and not sure on what to do.

I am embarrassed to even show the car to friends as this shows like a sore thumb. I did make the selling dealer aware and he said just to take them off and have them re powder coated lol. I said ah ....no it don’t work that way.

Either way, the car looks great in lead foot grey and the rest of the car has zero flaws. What would you guys do send the car back for full refund or ???thanks

Hard to see what's wrong. Either way, the car was delivered with defects, and the dealer should take care of the repair or you should reasonably expect to return it. It isn't a warranty matter, its either in the shipping or the dealership's prep dept. Those wheels are NOT cheap and in no way should you be expected to fix them yourself.

I'm not sure I would have even taken delivery without a letter from them promising a repair

If you look at the pic the back side of the wheels threw the spokes note the grey primer they didn't paint all the way threw.....

That's a warranty thing, neither the dealer or shipping company are to blame.

I get vehicles in sometimes where one of the undersides of the doors aren't spray with paint.

Ford will foot the bill.

So I'm staring at the photos, trying to somehow sharpen them with my eyes so I can see issue. I hear a voice in my head that asks if maybe the OP and dealer were clueless about the coating on the inside of the wheels.

Sometimes the voices are right.

Here’s a set on eBay. Tell the ford dealership to go ahead and buy them for you to replace yours. Send the bill to Ford and see how they like that. That is a lot of money to be messed up like that. I would be pissed as well.

Nothing wrong with them. The white coating is a heat resistant coating that was intentionally installed by the factory to reduce brake temps. Only R's have that feature.

Correct the heat from brakes actually distorted the carbon filter wheels at the track.. That's what I was told by ford racing when I called

I don't think it's there to reduce brake temps but to protect the wheels from the brake temps.

You’re right about protecting the wheels from brake heat rather than reducing brake heat. I misstated that. The point I tried to make is there is nothing wrong with the wheels.
