Here’s my story, I own a 16 track pack gt350 bought with less than 50km. At 5000km the engine light came on. Report from ford states 8.5 quartz of oil were consumed in the first 300km of the cars life. Engine was destroyed. After waiting for weeks hotline Authd a long block assembly, on replacement the clutch assembly, cats and exhaust exchanger were also replaced due to the engine failure. This whole process was a fight and took 45 days.

Fast forward to this year. I have been monitoring the vehicle for oil consumption. The car has never been tracked. Ford just completed a oil consumption test with 1.8 quartz consumed in 750km. Engine passed compression.. however...Valve covers off revealed all the plugs on one bank to have oil residue... other bank .. all clean.. serious problem from my understanding.. Waiting on hotline for answers... another engine... how many times can we do this.. wish they’d just take it back at this point..
This right here is something I've already started thinking about, getting another bad engine.

Ouch!! Oh man, sorry to hear this. I'd feel exactly the same as you! Does the "lemon law" apply here perhaps which would allow you to hand the car back and get your money back? Might be worth starting to investigate that, or at least be compensated in some way for all the hassles you've been/are going through. Hope things work out for you.

If ford lacks accountability for the product the only avenue in Canada for a buy back is CAMVAP. Hoping that will be a last resort and that ford will make things right with this car.

Hotline says replace the plugs on bank 1 and the pcv valve... I have doubts that a pcv valve would correct a 1.8 quartz per 800km problem. Running dye through the engine and another oil consumption test.

If the problem persists then a new motor.

Would anyone recommend having the cylinders inspected for scoring?

No, why do anything other then the oil test and claim your new motor? Ford knows what the problem is. That's why they have no problem handing out $30,000 engines like they're candy.. do your test, get your new engine and let ford figure out Ford's problem..

My car is at the dealer getting a new engine. Dropped it off Thursday. The gave me a loaner car. I would guess I might get my car back at the end of the week, or beginning of next. Either way. I'll be getting it back with a new engine.. hopefully this one will perform flawlessly..let you guys know when I pick it up

Engine swap is complete, going to pick car up today. Hope I have a good 1. Dropped car off July 5, pick up today. Not a bad turn around. I never called, never stopped by, nothing. Just left them alone to do their thing.

You are a far more patient person than I am. Hoping you have trouble free motoring now.

Ya, I'm very patient.. I'm also a fisherman...just picked it up. I have an awesome dealership. They drove it for 100 miles to make sure everything is running right, I have to do another 900 miles breakin..

Thanks, I don't believe so. I'm sure they will keep their dirty little secret to themselves.i was told it's going back to the mothership. That's all they said.

Yep, for something like this Ford is going to want to dissect that motor to figure it out. They wouldn't want the dealership to screw up the assembly.
