Got my Surgery scheduled for tomorrow at 1:45!
Pretty excited, But nervous at the same time lol.
The recovery is what is really worrying me.As far as outside activities, Gym, Work goes....Only because for a living I work on cars, Over, Under, etc... So the thought of getting debri in my eyes is freaking me out, But I did get goggles anyhow to help with all that mess!
Wish me luck fellow members!

You'll do well. Pop back in here after the surgery and give us an update. I expect it will be a good update. :)

I’m a week in. Hopefully you can sleep right after surgery. I had mine done at night and I still could not sleep. The eyes sting(like sweat or soap in your eyes for about 4 hours or so).
I have to wear sunglasses everywhere outside night and day for 3 weeks. My biggest complaint is the boatload of eye drops. 2 antibiotics 3 times a day and 1 drop ever 2 hours. Just another thing I have to carry.

With your situation op I’d find away to keep sweat out of my eyes as you work.

I spent a little more to go with the latest tech and the best doctor I could find. So glad I did.

Best money I ever spent, make sure you have a good pair of UVA/B sunglasses. Plan on not driving at night for a few days due to light sensitivity and difficulty at night for several months. I had 20/10 daytime vision for a few months before settling at 20/20 day and 20/25 at night. If its anything like it was 11 years ago just be ready for a funny smell when the laser turns on.

Wife had it done a little over a year ago. It was the best decision that she made.

Good luck, OP!

Thanks people!
I'll be traveling 2 hrs to the DFW Area to get it done. Total out the door was 3800 for me.Possibly steep but I wanted to feel 100% comfortable knowing it's getting done by very experienced people.

Get a place there to sleep it off. Traveling after is no fun. Good luck!

Good luck, OP. I just had it done about a month ago and the recovery is extremely easy. Within one week I was seeing at 20/15 and the worst part was the day of surgery and that was about a 3 out of 10 on a scale of uncomfortable. Everyone is different, but I took a nap after the surgery, experienced VERY little pain (if any), and was watching TV just fine that night. I have experienced zero issues with bright lights or an inability to see or drive at night. I am very cautious about letting anything touch my eyes and have heard the flap does not fully heal until about 6 months, but the likelihood of complications is very very low. Let us know how it goes.

Had my eyes zapped 17 years ago and still feel it's one of the best ways I've ever spent my money.
