Hi guys.. I'm not experienced with aftermarket parts so bear with me.. my dad is absolutely in LOVE with his '04 termy cobra. Always getting new parts, always super excited to tune it ever so slightly for better performance..... I finally have $$$ for a decent gift so I want to give him something he'll actually love!!

I messaged him and asked what he already has on the cobra, he said this:

"exhaust, shifter, subframe connectors, air intake, bigger mass air, fuel pump booster, bigger fuel injectors, new bigger supercharger, custom tune....u may not know what half that is View attachment 1494713"

Is there anything you guys can recommend I get for him??? He's not interested in aesthetics, just performance upgrades.....literally any help is appreciated!!!! Made this account to ask you guys because he loves this website....hopefully he doesn't see!! Dad if you read this act surprised on father's day. ;)

Also if there's no part I can find........what can I get for a car lover??? Something he would actually be happy to get, LOL. Maybe some octane?? I forget what it's called but he puts it in the fuel tank when we get gas.

Thank you guys!!! :) <3

You might want to reach out to @Black Gold 380R he makes color match car models. Check out his thread. I'm guessing his lead-time is longer than a couple of days but it would be an awesome fathers day gift.

Thank you for the recommendation blownfox. Really appreciate it!!! Unfortunately, I do need more than a weeks notice. Most of the time I require at least a 4 week lead time to produce a diecast replica.

The good thing is Maisto makes a RF convertible. So, a RF Vert should be available for purchase off eBay if Kayleigh wants to purchase a diecast as a Father's Day gift.

There's a guy on Instagram that goes by carsandcoffeecups. He makes coffee mugs painted to match the car. I ordered to match my Mystichrome not to look ago and I really like it. And I don't even drink coffee.

Does he have an aftermarket shift ball for his shifter? Ford Racing differential cover? Aftermarket hood vents?

I'm trying to think of what I'd want that is "go fast".. maybe an engine pulley kit? Ford Racing Differential cover if he doesn't have it already - and I'm not sure.. Do you need it by Sunday?

The pie in sky for me would be the full tilt boogie bushing kit for the IRS (back part of our cars has and Independent Rear Suspension - IRS). Something to do for a few days too if he likes doing his own work.

A pic of the engine bay might help give ideas.

I think the differential cover wouldn't be a bad idea, I also like hood vents but you said he only cares about performance mods.

My daughter is only 6 months old, but I hope she's this cool when she's older....although I really don't want her to be buying me stuff, lol.

I should go take pictures of it for you guys!! I usually have them on hand but not rn, I don't have to have to have it by Sunday either... I'll just tell him his gift is on the way!! Also I shouldn't say he doesn't like aesthetics; He does but he always shakes his head at really flashy car stuff! He has his little cobra license plate & svt hat..... I think he changed the wheels maybe.. worst comes to worst I'll get him a big gas card.. LOL

Honestly, your dad is probably similar to mine (has or buys everything he wants, is very picky about what he likes, etc). Basically, impossible to shop for. Sound about right?

I don't know what your budget is, but car parts are expensive, and a big risk if they're not received well by your father.

I hate doing gift cards, but maybe you could get him one from his favorite vendor (such as LMR, AM, CJPony parts, etc). There's nothing like some free money that's specifically there for car parts. That way, he can get something he really wants.

If you're dead set on getting him an actual present, then maybe an Accufab Single Blade Throttle Body? It's reasonably priced (for performance parts), looks good, and from the look of the mods list you posted he might not have one yet.

Without knowing what blower he has, could be like a TVS with a GT500 setup or a 2.9C with a big whipple TB already. I like your gift card idea.

Kayleigh what about this. Hear me out now. It’s not a go fast part but you said he likes doing his own work. I’m the same way, my car had pure go fast parts an looked pretty much stock. A set of hood struts will allow him to work on the car without the pesky hood prop rod in the way. Especially when your messing with the intake to clean it or doing spark plugs on the passenger side, you don’t have to dance around it the prop rod if it isn’t there. As far as an aesthetic mod, I loved my hood struts. I had the MRT ones and required no drilling unlike the others, just bolt it on and go.

I was thinking the same thing. Accessories... He has all the go fast parts although I didn't see brake upgrade. That's a must for his power level but $$$$

What about a steering wheel. I have the FR 500 and love it. Google it.

Probably about $200......I know that's kinda low for car parts but I'm on summer job money  Also do you guys have a link to any of those things on like...a vendor website?? I'm seriously clueless; It all sounds great though!! I wanna shock him, bc he's done so so much for me over the years. A+++ dad

If he doesn't have the hood struts - that is well within your budget and by far one of my favorite mods on my own car. You can check if he has it by just popping and lifting the hood. If it goes up and stays up on it's own, then he already has this.

If you have to keep holding it for it to stay open, then he still uses the stock hood prop. Assuming he doesn't have it - this is what the others have recommended.

Link to hood struts ($100):
MRT Mustang Hood Struts, No Drill Black (94-04) 80D000-BLK

Should also mention - the Chin spoiler has just become available. It's the black part under the front bumper. If his is all scratched and beat up - he might like this (it is $200 though):
Mustang Cobra Chin Spoiler (03-04) - LMR.com

Also - if you order from LMR - you might want to look at the discount code found here:
