I was just about to PM you lol. I'm in Kingstown Alexandria across from the Wegmans. Have you had any issues not running a front plate? Debating on whether or not i'm going to run one.

Sweet! They don't hassle me down here in Stafford knock on wood. Lived here my whole life and I've been stopped once for no plate, a few years ago in my 03 cobra. It was a state trooper. I run front plates on my dailys though!

The Mrs. came to me recently and said, "you've got a garage full of cool toys, now its my turn"

Fair enough, she's a wonderful wife and mother, and who doesn't like to go car hunting.

She wanted something with good power, good road manners, and a convertible, while not mandatory, would be nice.

After whittling down her choices, she focused in on a Mercedes Benz SL.

2009 to 2012 were her preferred body style.

While researching, I discovered that in 2009, MB made a limited edition "Silver Arrow" of which only 550 examples would be built for the SL550.

Special "Silver Arrow" paint not shared with any other cars, fitted also with an exclusive red interior.

I found one in Florida, one owner, all docs, and incredibly low 14k miles on the odo. Serviced early at the MB dealer regardless of the low miles.

After a discussion with the servicing MB dealer (and how this owner maintains his fleet of MB products, we wired the funds and arranged for enclosed transport from FL to CA.

It arrived last Friday, and wow, as if the car just came off the showroom floor. Always stored inside, a not a single wear mark or blem. Truly stunning.

The Mrs LOVES it, and we have a wonderful touring car for weekend get aways. And with the retractable hard top, the best of both worlds.

Life is good...

The 18' is coming along but still a long way to go. Changing out front springs on coilovers to obtain a slightly lower stance, cervini grills still on order, Steeda spoiler still not on, black 5.0's have been installed since and still have to finish up the front signal tint.
