Why oh why are there always tough-guy badass types in every damn thread.

OP ordered a tune NEARLY A MONTH AGO. A tune, not a built motor or trans. But hey, if it makes people feel better acting this way to someone that asked a very general question about service issues, by all means, stay behind your keyboard and feel good.

OP - what kind of car do you have? Is this the 01 Cobra in your sig?

OP - what kind of car do you have? Is this the 01 Cobra in your sig?

I am not the OP but I relayed my story. The OP put a pretty vague post and hasn't been back. I would think the OP's tune would be a bit more involved than mine. I feel mine is a pretty standard tune, 2013 GT, Roush Phase I.

I ordered a Boss 302 Manifold tune from VMP on 4/21/18. Waited a few weeks then on May 10th, I requested and received a refund. I was tired of waiting.

Purchased a tune from Lund Racing on May 10th, received the tune next day May 11th. Purchased a Nitrous tune from Lund a few days later and received files quickly as well as datalog reviews.

Some of these tuning companies act like there aren't 16 million other places out there.

Don at Lasota literally got tired of helping me dial in a car that was being difficult due to the Ford racing TB and just stopped replying to me.

Friend of mine ordered a Kurgan start up tune. Posted on FB about it being 2-3 weeks and still no tune. Another company stepped and had his start up tune in a day.

I don't care who you are, that's just shitty customer service. VMP included if that's really the true story OP.

I wonder if the parts side is effected like the tuning side? Id like to think if youre going to drop $4K on a blower, it better be 100% and shipped out as soon as humanly possible.

When I had an issue with a bad TPS on my new throttle body from them, I sent all the info showing it was simply a bad tps including the ford charts showing how to tell if its a bad tps. The support person said they read the ford information and that my tps reading of 4.99 was perfectly fine and that the DTC codes it was throwing for an open TPS circuit was a problem with the tune in the car. Finally got them to agree to swap out the throttle body and havent had a problem since. Although it was a pain in the ass to have to argue with them that the product was defective when I sent pictures clearly showing them the problem.

I ordered a tune 5/18 and am still waiting. I called last Tuesday and they said they had everything and it should be soon, called today and they said they were going to put it Priority. Disappointed in the "10 day" time they quoted. I hope the tune is as good as it is supposed to be over the stock Roush Phase 1 tune. So far with the wait I keep thinking I should have gone with Lund or Brenspeed.

At VMP customer service and support is very important to us. For some of the others on here that have had issues, please PM me who you spoke to at VMP. I look at these as learning experiences so we can do better in the future. I'll also extend the free t-shirt offer to anyone that's had issues on here and PMs me.

Given that tuning is a complex and custom process, it can sometimes take time. For example, the OP has a highly modified vehicle based on their sig, and we've already been in contact with them.

We understand you need your cars running and operational. We've added additional staff on the tuning support side of things but we're still catching up from the busy season.

For things like parts and accessories that we manufacture, sell, and stock, they ship out on a daily basis. One of the key advantages of the VMP line of superchargers is that we have them fully assembled, tested, and on the shelf ready to ship out when a customer orders one.

Yes justin has taken care of the issues I was having and is taking care of what I needed done,which I appreciate and i am thankful for and handled it in a timely matter !

He left about a month and a half ago. Had an opportunity to go to Lund Racing and expand his craft. As a customer of Lund racing, this makes me very happy.
Cool. Good for him.
I saw that he posted some videos talking about Lund Tuning just a couple of days ago and thought that was weird. Now it makes sense. lol
