HAHAHA! I just did this shit 4 times my last track day in my c6z...And Ill probably be doing it again this Friday when I go back. Only way around it is a longer trailer and you back the car on to have fender clearance OR raise the whole deck up with 2x12s or whatever

Or buy a trailer that has the fold down mud/splash guards such as what U-haul uses. Then you don't need to worry about opening or closing doors with them in the way.

U haul trailer is what I had last time. They indeed fold down but my car is so low that the actual TIRES are still on the way of opening the door.

Are there any alternatives to Race Ramps? Those things are well made and lightweight but pricey. I saw similar aluminum ramps that weren't any cheaper. Not looking to haul around heavy homemade wooden ramps...I'd thought someone would've made some knock off version or plastic copy by now.

It doesn't seem like it. Any time they get brought up, half the guys say they are worth every penny, and the other half say they are too expensive and build their own out of heavy wood.

That would be a good market to move into it seems. You could probably undercut them by a good amount just by sort of copying the angle. My cheap ramps barely worked on my ST, were worthless on my RS, lowered Mustang and now my 350.

Look up Hull trailers & specifically their tilt trailers. I have a 20 foot electric tilt with a duck tail & still use race ramps also to get my BMR lowered 14 GT on

Honestly, no. I think I've seen memes with that orange car doing jumps and stuff. I think it's on Netflix now, with Johnny Knoxville and Jessica Simpson. I'll check it out.

I'm not gonna climb out a trunk when I can just jump out a window....hahahaha

The reason Bo and Luke Duke had to climb through the windows was because when getting the car done by Cooter they did not have time to finish hooking up the door handles, so they did not work.

Your Southern Duke History Lesson for today, sir.

No because the very first episode they had to weld the doors shut on the first episode in Jan 26 1979 while getting it ready for the race

Have you never seen Dukes of Hazzard?

My only problem with going out the window is not being able to get the window back up once Im out. Don't want a window down when trailering 2+ hours on the interstate

ohhhhhh shit! That's right!

To be fair I was born in 1992. :D

Neat thing is the real reason they welded the doors shut was to make the whole car be more solid so when they jumped them they wouldn't crinkle like a piece of paper when they landed. That was the main reason they did it, so hence the whole weld the door shut to get it to comply with the rules of the race.

One last fact about the Dukes TV show they crashed and destroyed so many Chargers that they only had about 10 working Chargers out of the 360 that they had in the boneyard. So the last 2 years they was painting and crashing AMC Ambassadors, hence why they either did the wide long shot or reused previous episode footage of jumps.

If there is one thing you can count on from Josh it's a history lesson about the Dukes of Hazzard or plague doctors.

And if I still drag the transmission, I put a floor jack under the trailer tongue
