Cobra Jet/Procharger hoses

So I ordered my Procharger P1X stage 2 w/1050x/BAP. Just trying to get all the odds and ends I'll need to make it work with my Cobra Jet before I start taking things apart. Looks like I got some time with the weather forecast in my area anyhow.

So I've searched a bunch and ended up getting

http://www.intakehoses.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=90L55R40&Category_Code=R9DEN

to adapt to the CJ. But I'm thinking the Procharger tubing is 3"? will I need another reducer 4"-3" as well? Also my first time doing anything with silicone hoses and such so I don't know exactly what I need and would rather be sure before I start ordering a bunch of stuff twice.

Any help would be appreciated as I know some people on here have done the same combo. Just can't find much info on making it all hook up at the TB.

Thanks

Edit: looks like the 5.5 to 4 was a bad idea and doesn't fit at all (5.5 too big) when i mocked it up on the car. I'll need a 5-4 then a 4-3 metal reducer and hopefully it will bolt up to the procharger kit. Will know in a week or so when the kit shows up but still any info appreciated.

It's not perfect but it works.

Got hoses from intakehoses.com
Parts #'s

R90B-400-500 Silicone 90 Degree Reducing Elbow 5" ID to 4" ID - Gloss Black 5 Ply

AL400R350 Aluminum Intake Reducer 4" OD to 3.5" OD .065

Had to modify both but not too hard to make it work.

I think I remember also using the supplied hose that was to be used on the stock throttle body to make to two connect as well.

I've been thinking about going this route too. I know that sites have dyno sheets with the procharger and a stock manifold, but very curious how the CJ changes the curves. Would you be willing to share your dyno sheet?

First I would like to say that setup looks great man. I've got my 2013 GT procharged and am having some parts installed this week, including the CJ mani and I was wondering what modifications you had to make for those reducers to work? Also do you think the set you went with is the best fit you could have gotten off intakehoses.com? I'm going to try giving prochargers customer support a call today and see what they suggest.

I'm doing this on mine, however, I found a gentleman who did this and had a custom intake tube built to replace the procharger intake tube that goes to the manifold. So, instead of adapting down a bunch of rubber couplings, I'll have a legit metal tube. It wasn't cheap, but in my opinion, it's going to be worth every penny. Should be arriving today via usps. Good luck with your build!

Would you be willing to point me in the direction of whoever you used to fab that up? I went to get the two reducers listed above and 1 is out of stock indefinitely.

I can talk to the guys who did the work. Are you on Facebook?

No sir not on facebook, I do have an instagram page though, TheBlackHorse42. If you don't have an IG no worries, I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread. Thanks for asking, I want to make sure I get everything installed correctly the first time so there doesn't need to be a second... if possible.

That looks perfect, I’d love to make that happen over reducers.I appreciate you looking looking into it. I need to see what that looks like when you’ve got it painted and in place.

This is what it should look like when it's painted and installed IntakeAdapterTubeProcharger.PNG . It wasn't cheap to be made, but IMO I like it.

I’m not going to say anything for sure until I know the price but I’m pretty sure if I can get something like that for my car that’s exactly what I’d like to go with. It looks perfect painted, and I like the idea of less seals to fail.
