Lucky you. The stock clutch felt like you were doing leg presses in the gym lol. It had by far the highest pedal effort I've ever felt for a stock OEM application.

Really? I'm pretty sure my car has the stock clutch in it still, and I don't think its heavy at all.

There's a few other OG terminator owners on here. I'm sure they'll chime in. Bought this car brand new in 03 and it's had a number of clutches in it over the years. I don't think anything felt as heavy as stock that I remember.
Of course been some 15 years old it wouldn't surprise me if the pressure plate has lost some of it's bite.

I agree. I daily'd my '04 vert for three years and 25k miles with the factory clutch.....it was easily the heaviest clutch of any car I had ever owned. But I must say, it worked just fine. That car was pullied, exhaust, etc made 490rwtq and it handled it no problem. The new owner I sold her to put on a whipple 7 years ago.....to my knowledge, it's still going strong.

Small turn of events....

I'm going TVS 2.65R instead of my 2.9 Gen 3

I'm selling my 2.9L if anybody is interested. New in box

I'm changing because I think the inlet and TB on the reg 2.9 is ridiculous. Finally found a pic of an accufab next to a GT500 and the size diff. is incredible. Basically you have to pay $1800 for a crusher inlet to equal the $800 VMP GT500 inlet. I also want the removable inlet and according to VMP the 2.65 has the same parasitic drag as the 2.3

If I were at sea level I wouldn't be worried about my 2.9 because I'm pullied for what would be 24psi but up here I'm only seeing 19-20.

As for the Accufab vs the GT500, I thought I've seen some data on the TVS 2.3 and it showed zero gains.

Wonder if the 2.65 will be any better.

Still needs to neck down at the intake

Really? I know sometimes they fudge numbers but right on VMP they said 30rwhp picked up with the GT500 TB. Not sure if that was against a stocker or a SBTB though.

Who knows how hard they were spinning it during the comparison that showed no gains.

Example: going from a 3.75 pulley to a 3.5 netted me @3 psi.
Dropped to a 2.9 upper and expected to pick up @6 at least. Closer to 4.
I should plumb a vacuum gauge into my intake. I bet I'm pulling a vacuum.

Estimated power gain?

I'm slightly worried nobody bought my 2.9L yet

$3800 new in box with an extra pulley

I can't give you any power gains as I self tune on the street. I actually just installed it this week and have a rough tune dialed in but still have work to do.

Its going to be hard to sell a 2.9 right now with the 2.65 coming out.
