Hi all,

I am about to up the boost and power on my 2010 GT500 with a ported blower from Stiegemeier with their 2.2 pulley kit installed. Now, I basically have all of the supporting mods already, so its a bolt on type and retune type situation, however in talking with Bob he really recommended a set of upgraded cats both for the extra potential for power gain and for longevity with 18 possible psi. I have to keep the cats guys, can't do a straight up mid pipe delete.

With that in mind, what catted mid pipe do you all recommend? I'm really kind of looking at the Bassani, BBK, JBA, Kooks, Lethal Performance, and MRT offerings. They're all in pretty much the same range price wise.

Thanks!

With stock exhaust manifolds, I would try to find a take-off H mid pipes from a 2011+. You get the benefit of larger pipes, so consider the over axle pipes too. Lethal has a good aftermarket set of stainless over axle pipes that are not expensive. Aftermarket high flow cats are crap for the most part and will not have a long life with 18 psi of boost. Good catalysts are expensive. If you want good high flow cats, look at Vibrant's GESI cats. These are the only ones that can live up to 18 psi, but they are priced accordingly. You'll need to find someone to weld these in.

I've been running a Magnaflow high flow catted midpipe with a ported Eaton and a 2.4" upper pulley for five years now with no issues. Boost is in the 14.5 to 15 lb range. However, I run a MRT catless H Pipe for track duty and have gotten better performance results at the track.

If you're keeping cats because you're in California, you're gonna be SOL because nothing about your setup has a CARB EO

Thats why I kept all the old stuff and have a second, stock blower! Couple hours of swapping over, no problem, drive around on the stock tune...all good.

Hmmm, very interesting. Thanks for the response!

I have an MRT H-pipe with high flow cats. It’s a really nice pipe, with perfect fitment. If you are looking for one let me know I’m going to sell soon as I purchased some long tubes.

Passes emissions fine.
